I was in terrible back pain, symptoms of a compressed disc. I couldn't even stand straight, I was able to get in right away after calling, everyone was very pleasant. After I left i had some relief but the very next day is when i really felt relief able to walk straight again. I know it will take a few more visits for me to heal but i can definitely say this place is very helpfull and i get the impression they really know what they are doing. 5 stars as far as i'm concerned. I've had troubling lower back pain on and off for years, and the last few months it has been fairly constant. As a 21 year old, its troubling when your back hurts when you bend over to put your pants on. Needless to say, it had me quite concerned. Ive been to a few chiropractors before, but after coming here for my first session, it was the first time I felt confident I could get rid of it. Not only was there an immediate sense of relief after my first session, but I also had a plan laid out (that I'm about half way through) to lead me to a steady and full recovery. I had been suffering with REALLY bad hip pain since June/July after taking a misstep while running on a Woodchip trail. I'd rest and start running and have to rest again because it hurt to walk and sit; it was a never ending cycle. My roommate told me about Dr Kim so I decided to check this place out. I have Kaiser so I was worried the cost would be out of my price range but it wasn't and I was able to make an appointment. After my first visit, my hip was fixed! I recently discovered I have a herniated disc and I started coming here to see Dr. Zaker for a recovery plan. He made me feel 100% comfortable with all the knowledge I needed to know about what was going on with my body, he explained everything to me. I've been here 3 times and all of the staff is very friendly and all able to accommodate my needs to feeling better. I have strength and conditioning with Nick (whose awesome) on Tuesdays and stretching,massage and adjustment on Thursday. I'm already feeling much better! I definitely recommend coming here!!! I'm so happy I was referred to Dr. Zaker through a family friend. I haven't felt this much relief in years. After reviewing my x-rays, we decided on a treatment plan which I am currently going through and excited to see the final results. I've seen numerous chiropractors and physical therapists, but I have never felt this much lasting relief. Dr. Zaker and his team have meticulous attention to detail and make sure you're being taken care of the entire time you're there. What a great experience!! From beginning to end. I show up to the office where I was greeted by a friendly staff. After a little bit of paperwork I went into a exam room to have a consult with the chiropractic doctor. We discuss in detail what was causing my problems. He explained the anatomy and prognosis of the issue in a way that was easy to understand. Then we went into the treatment room where we did some massage and stretching to my lower back. After that he did some active release techniques to my legs and lower extremities. He also did some “nerve flossing” to my legs to help with the neuropathy and circulation. They also have a spinal decompression machine that was pretty impressive. At the end we did an adjustment and some ice for a “cool down”. I felt great!! At the end we discussed my plan and what it’s going to take for me to get through this problem and how to keep it within budget. He really cared about getting me better and I am really excited to get my plan started. After the treatment I can say enough. My wife had been seeing Dr. Zaker after a car accident and had a wonderful experience. I decided to see him after having back pain for quite some time. So glad I went. Dr. Zaker is excellent and was able to help me treat my back pain. He’s honest and doesnt push to see his patients more then needed just to make a buck. Just had my first appointment with Dr. Zaker today. My visit began with a welcoming staff that got me into the waiting room promptly. Staff took my vitals and gathered preliminary info about my pain. Next Dr. Zaker came in and gathered more info about the cause of my pain. I received x-rays, assisted stretching, concentrated massage on affected area, electric stim work, and cold therapy. The doc quickly diagnosed my issue and recommended treatment. My bill was extremely low for all of the treatments I was given and they even provided me with a complementary cryotherapy session. I walked out feeling much better and the doc assured me he would have me ready for a race in a few weeks. I am confident he will! This is a well overdue review! Have been going to South Bay Pain and Wellness for several months now and have been nothing short of impressed with Dr. Zaker, his staff, and his approach to treatment. I've been to many different chiropractor and massage clinics over the last 5 years maintaining an injury that can slip into a chronic pain situation. I'm very careful about where I choose to go and do not hesitate recommending Newport Pain and Wellness anytime I can. They've been very attentive to me and adapting the treatments as we go along, often providing new techniques that I hadn't tried. They have helped me get a full picture of my injuries with MRI and CT scans and a consult with a neurologist to ensure we know what we're looking at now, and what to expect down the road. My family have been going to this office, this being our second year. Dr. Zacker and his team has excelled our expectations as has delivered expert attention to identifying the problems and developments specific programs to treat and heal the problem. My Prior experience with other chiropractic has been to mask the injury or problem and just keep returning for temporary relief.Dr Zacker did a full exam and xrays to identify and treat to heal. I also have physical therapy in the office by Mike Downey who is phenomenal and very well educated of the anatomy to target the needed areas to strengthen and overcome the injuries. This place deserves the 5 stars, if not more. My husband has chronic neck and back pain from accidents. Day in and day out after months and months of treatment from chiro and physical therapy from another clinic, and no relief. I haven't seen him this relieved and satisfied from treatment until today.I learned of this place from Ranee during our business meeting. She shared what her company does and the awesome doctors and team they have. I shared with her my husbands problem, and she kindly assisted in getting him an appointment with one of the friendliest, kindest, and amazing doctor... Dr. Zaker. As a business woman, and Manager of multiple clinics, I knew I had to visit the location prior to referring patients so that I can share with them my own experience with the people, and the place. Hands down, this place is one I will undoubtedly advertise, and highly recommend to patients, and my own network of contacts. I purposely did not stay long. I took note of how front desk interacted with me. Purposely peeked inside treatment area for less than 5 minutes just to see how back office staff including the doctor will be towards me. I’ve been waiting to do this review because I wanted to be sure I gave an accurate representation/review. I found this place because the place I was referred to by my boss was not accepting new patients for a same day appointment. I couldn’t get an appointment at that place, so I looked to my fellow yelpers. I was in pain and already had the day off, so I was trying to find someplace that would accept me. I called and asked if they were accepting new patients and if I could make an appointment for that day. Lo and behold, they were like yeah we have one at 11am and one at 5pm. It was already like 10:30am, but I wanted to get it over with because I have been in pain for a while, so I was like yeah! I’ll be there for the 11am appointment. *sorry, for the run on sentence*I’ve never been to a chiropractor before, so I didn’t know what to expect. They set the expectation high. Everyone is super welcoming and easy to talk to. I feel VERY comfortable here. It’s probably because they are on the younger side, so I don’t feel like I have to contain myself. Due to that as well, I don’t feel awkward that some older man is feeling up on me. I also appreciate that they are open a little later on the weekdays than most places. It gives me the time to make the trek from downtown where I work.I really enjoy coming here to get worked on. I also need to give it up to the staff for having to deal with me and my shenanigans. As if they needed another 5-star review, so I'm sorry to be redundant but this place really is the best and I've been to many chiropractic places. Dr. Zaker knows exactly which spots to hit and Robert gives the best massages. I've been coming here regularly for almost two years about once a week and the quality has been consistent. I love this place. I was able to book an appointment right away. They really care about you here. I came in barely being able to walk I was in so much pain. Within two weeks I was back to feeling better and comfortable. I'm not cured but I am feeling so much better and I can sleep at night. Dr. O'connor is a very nice guy. He actually cares. Its not just a quick adjustment and youre out. Its more than that. He gets you to a comfortable state before you leave. I always look forward to my appointments here.
