Kebrina is very talented and has energy like no other. She dances to connect with her ancestors and to heal. Her classes are very organic. It starts off like a yoga class that bursts into crazy energy. You will learn where movement comes from and it will help you to root yourself and connect in whatever your dancing. I love how free I feel when I go to her classes. You will also be in great shape with her classes because you burn tons of calories! When I take her classes regularly I’m in way better shape vs when I don’t. I definitely can tell the difference when I stop going to her classes. Anyway, Samba Colorado has something for everyone. I was unsure what to expect when auditioning for and attending my first class with Samba Colorado. But after taking classes with Kabrina for a semester, I can say that it has been such a rewarding experience. As someone who identifies artistic and creative, I was looking for an opportunity to get back into dance as an extracurricular hobby. Samba Colorado has provided me with that, and so much more. Kabrina provides a dynamic, welcoming, supportive space for anyone who is interested in dance. That creative space is afforded to anyone even if they have no dance experience. Through dance, Kabrina teaches students not only about kinesthetic awareness and proper dance technique, but also about the symbolism, culture, and history behind the dances. Kebrina is an amazing, energetic, and uplifting instructor. I am not a dancer but I have always wanted to learn but was always too intimidate to take a class. This was not the case with Kebrina! She made me feel safe and welcomed and I honestly couldn't have asked for a better teacher. Kebrina is both an incredible dancer and extremely knowledgeable.
