I consider Sam my unofficial wedding planner, not just my photographer. I had to plan my wedding quickly and was frantically looking for a photographer on short notice. After a post on a CT Facebook bridal group, Sam was the first to call me. My husband and I hired her for our engagement photos and our wedding, along with a photobooth. My biggest concern was indoor photography since much of my wedding would be indoors. She assured me that you can’t call yourself a photographer if you don’t know how to do indoor or night photography, and she must be right because Sam’s photos are perfection.

My husband and I are not models by any stretch, we don’t know our angles, and we are really awkward about getting our picture taken. However, Sam told us how to stand, where to look, what to do with our face and arms, and made it genuinely fun for us. She is very fast and succinct about giving cues which is super important when, as a bride, you are needed in 3 different places at once at your wedding.

Sam made time to meet with me so we could discuss important shots needed, timelines, and sent me a google document that we could both edit and organize together, so when the day came, I was confident that everything would be taken care… and of course, it was. She arrived early, was set up super fast. Even more, Sam came to my house a few weeks prior to the wedding to photograph my accessories: beautiful stylized shots of my veil, jewelry, hair pieces, rings, shoes, and even the perfume I planned to use on the day. She said, “I like to tell a story of the day when I photograph a wedding. You’re going to remember even the little details!” On the wedding day, Sam kept us on schedule but also gave my husband and I plenty of space to have fun and enjoy ourselves, then wrangled us in for quick photos when needed.

I loved how she interacted with my guests, and my other vendors. She’s a real pro, and is like a real friend, even tho we didn’t know each other prior. She has a great upbeat, but chill attitude and she’s so easy to work with. As a stressed out bride, Sam will keep you relaxed and grounded!

Sam’s knowledge of the wedding industry is also priceless. Her suggestions and ideas saved me so much money. She’s also just very down to earth and doesn’t beat around the bush. I wanted someone to be real with me during this process. Wedding vendors are “yes” people but when it comes to it, they don’t follow through. Sam will do whatever she can to help make your day so special. She even arranged an extra camera for me so we can do a film our ceremony. If she can’t do something or doesn’t have advice on something, she will be totally honest.

The photo booth she offered was a real hit with my guests as well, (and me too! It was fun!) I think it’s definitely well worth the $! The photobooth comes with lots of fun props, a backdrop that you choose (I chose rose gold), and a big touchscreen mirror that takes a 3 photo strip and prints your desired amount of copies right away.

My wedding photos were ready to view less than 2 weeks after the wedding and they really captured the heart/feeling of the day. I wanted the day to feel romantic and ethereal, light, and happy… and the photos absolutely show all of that and more.
