Was craving Chicken Parmigiana and asked my fiancé to go grab us dinner. We had tried this place once prior when we first moved here and it was mediocre at best. Wanted to try again to give it another chance. I have worked in the service industry for 15+ years and never leave bad reviews-ever-but this food was not impressive. My chicken parmigiana was not flavored well, the cheese on top looked like plastic, and the one piece of chicken was tiny and over-cooked. We also ordered stuffed mushrooms for an appetizer and received 5 TINY (the smallest mushrooms I’ve ever seen-with no exaggeration) for $10. $2 a mushroom and it was disgusting and not worth it. Not to mention, the menu prices are not correct and there is no note of this online. Won’t be trying it again. Update menu pricing and correct portion sizes, doubt they’ll change their recipes. I’ll drive back to Blacksburg for Avellino’s or to Radford for Sal’s there. More...

We ordered take out from Sal’s today. We found that they had increased prices significantly over the prices posted on their internet menu site. Calamari was so tough I could not chew it. Others said their food was ok, but not up to their prior meals there. This business needs to update their website with their current prices, and quit deceptive marketing.
