Met at friend at this nice restaurant and sat at the high top tables and split some appetizers and had a glass of shiraz. The room filled up with " regulars", the waitresses were very friendly, and the cannoli cake was melt in your mouth awesome . The artichoke dip was perfect as were the mozzarella sticks. My friend had the chicken tenderloins and she was very happy with her choice. The cranberry mule went down smooth for her and she would have had another if there was time. No problems here. Great choice! Oh, and the pizzas and the ribs the other tables had looked and smelled enticing! Need to go back one more time to get the fifth star! More...

Really good atmosphere and the food was delicious. The only thing was the it was a little dark (we went at night) and it was hard to see the menu. But we all had our phone flashlights, so it was just fine. The service was fantastic and the hostess was very willing to reseat us at a place with better light, but we were happy regardless. More...

Recommened by family that lived in the area so we headed to Salamone's. Located in a strip mall ...which always makes me wonder . ..but family says it's their go to Italian...so in we go.Definitely try the Shrimp Dejonge ..I loved it...garlic, butter and wine with lightly crispy bread crumbs.  Delicious. My favorite dish.We also had the Bruschetta..lots of garlic... flavorful...bread not toasted but I did enjoy.Minestrone was good.  I enjoyed Tour of Italy ..they do an excellent job with their fettuccini... the Lasagna and Chicken Parm were good ...we ate so much I could only do one bite of each of the Tour offerings..lots of leftovers.  My love have Penne and Meatball ...enjoyed ...offered but We ordered way too much to eat.  Would go back again...which is difficult with so many choices in Rockford to choose from. Pizza the way it should be. Each pie comes PACKED with ingredients, all safely nestled under very tasty cheeses, so you don't have that issue where all your toppings slide off every time the pizza slice is moved. I would visit more often, but the one in Cherry Valley is superior to the one located in Rockford. It just isn't the same. More...
