We stumbled upon Safety Harbor Art and Music Center and I am glad that we did. According to the person we spoke with, they are actually having their three year anniversary celebration on the weekend of November 29, so if you are around the area definitely check it out. Food, drinks, entertainment will be provided for the price of FREE-- so come check out their hard work and stay for the celebration. The person we spoke with mentioned how the owners wanted to create a space for arts. Most of the art work are submitted by people within the community except for the main structures. Especially check out the bathroom, it is super cool. Hard to describe so come see it for yourself :) I think it is important to celebrate freedom through art and by visiting this establishment you'll find yourself immersed in just that. They also have a gift shop filled with super cool gifts to give to love ones or to keep for yourself. More...

Wow, what a discovery we had today. We've been to Saftey Harbor many times but never noticed this place. It's incredibly eclectic with murals and and art work everywhere you can see. There are also different materials covering the house including plexiglas sculptures, paintings and bottle trees. It's like a mini psychedelic trip a few blocks from Main Street. They have a small store with interesting items for sale like miniature guitars embossed with mosaic art and if you want a pair of Spider Man socks, (who doesn't) they can be purchased here. Next door is a large area where you can sit a draw, create mosaics and listen to music. They have many events throughout the year including: Poetry reading, music guests, cabaret nights and open mic nights. Safety Harbor is becoming a very eclectic area with plenty of free parking, amazing restaurants from pizza joints to wine sipping stores. We were going to try Gigglewaters which is a semi new restaurant that has gotten some amazing Yelp reviews, but I just wasn't that hungry. Another time! More...

We stopped in because we were curious about the building. This place makes me smile! What a fun. joyful atmosphere! Everyone was so welcoming and they took the time to visit with us and told us about a musician that was playing that evening.
We were so impressed we invited a friend and went back that evening
I am now a SHAMc Fan!!! We had so much fun and plan. I felt like I was back in college again. This will be a regular spot for us to go.
Songfest is on our calendar. Thank you Kiaralinda and Todd for bringing such a great idea and experience to the northern Pinellas County.

My toddler attends the shamceeker art class twice a month and we both love it! We listen to 2 stories and make 2-3 art projects.
There's also usually home made play do and a sensory section.
The setting is incredible-very artistic and inspiring. I'm looking forward to being able to attend a concert here in the future.

My Sister and I are spending a month in DUnedin and just happened upon the SHAMc. I am so grateful we did. We've stopped in 4 times so far and returning today. The energy here is amazing as are all the friendly folks we met. We got to see first hand the artists wild women hats ( i call them that because the so capture the wild women in my life) and plan on giving them a try at home. Kiaralinda was so a delight to spend time chatting with and learning about all the artists contributions. THis place is worth a stop, as well as the welcoming community of Safety Harbor. More...
