We have a mid century modern ranch in Pleasant Ridge MI. The house is great, bu the basement had issues. It needed new carpeting an decorating.
Rowan Expressions came to help. They used some of our furniture and art work, but the placement was very different then before and really made the space more fluid. The new accent pieces that were added complemented what we already loved. This resulted in a very warm inviting space for us to relax in or invite friends for a to party or relax.

What’s your interior design process?
First we need to know what the client is looking for and their taste. We like to see examples of what they feel looks good to them and how strongly they feel about this. Then we need to know what the space involved will be used for. The budget perimeters have to be discussed. Based on this information we can write up a proposal which will include an estimate of costs and time frame. Once that is established we will know how much lee way we have to proceed. We are professionals and will present the client with design ideas so that everyone is comfortable. We will use what is appropriate from the clients belongings and add furniture, accessories, lighting and color.
Which interior design styles can you cater for?
I am not going to say my favorites because we design for the client. After obtaining degrees from universities in design art history etc. and spending years catering to many cultures the answer would depend on the structure, it's end use and the clients interests. The answer is many, because there have been a lot of styles through the ages and cultures and all have merit and with the right approach can be functional and pleasing.
What do you love most about your job?
I love beauty! The design of the space that surrounds us affects our moods, productivity or relaxation and therefore is extremely important to our well being. I love to be able to accomplish this for clients and myself.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I come from a family of business owners and I like to develop peoples talents as a mentor.
Why should our clients choose you?
I am very good at what I do and I am very passionate about design ,art, color and light. All are essential to this type of work. I have compassion for my client's needs as well as a great business acumen in project development and bringing out the best in the contractors to get the job done.
