I have worked with Roger for over 22 years and six individual projects for me personally and I have nothing but the highest recommendation for his honestly, character, and high quality of his work. The first project was my loft in Noho in New York City, A 2500 square-foot space. I interviewed three designers and settled on Roger because of his commonsense approach, vision, and his ability to communicate. I was exceptionally happy with the results, which ended up on the cover of Architectural Digest, the November 2001 issue. Several years later I bought an apartment in Miami, and we worked together on this two bedroom vacation apartment, creating a bright, whimsical fantastic environment. A year later he helped me refresh the interior of my 63 foot Italian sailboat. In 2003, I hired him to redesign my office at Oppenheimer and Company in New York in the MetLife building above Grand Central, and he helped me in restyle the 88,000 square-foot office on two floors of that building. In 2004 I bought an unassuming little split level on the water in the Hamptons, and he transformed it into a remarkably beautiful weekend home. In 2015, I bought a house in Santa Barbara, and while there are dozens of good designers in this town, I hired Roger again to completely redesigned the house in a clean, modern but comfortable manner that also honors the local architecture. In 2016 I decided to tear down the little house in the Hamptons, and build a 4500 square-foot steel and glass modern masterpiece. The results are spectacular. So these were all very different projects, in quite different styles, from houses, a boat, an apartment, and an office, all over the last 22 years. I have heard from my friends about the aggravation, horrors, and cost overruns of working with designers, but I never had that with Roger. He is honest, efficient, practical, fun to work with, and a great design visionary. He has my highest recommendation. More...
