What kind of accounting services do you provide?
I handle bookkeeping, accounting, tax preparation and consulting for businesses that are for profit. I do not service the non-profit sector nor do I participate in attest functions (no audits, reviews, compilations, etc.) I do back taxes and tax resolution as well as client tax audit representation before the IRS and the state tax authorities. These are my main accounting services, if there is one not listed that you need please contact me.
Why is it so important for businesses to hire a great accountant?
When you are in business three professionals are crucial to the success, growth and protection of your business. They are your banker, your accountant/advisor/tax preparer, and your attorney. Certain things you just should not do yourself (unless you are one of the three mentioned above). You always need to "bounce" thoughts off of someone else in your business. Someone seasoned and experienced in business and how decisions will affect your taxes. Most great accountants don't cost you, they save you. In time I will become a valued and trusted part of your business and help your business grow.
What do you love most about your job?
The thing I love most about my job is helping people. People trust my judgement and come to me for my opinion on what they should do for their business. Being in business all these years has exposed me to many different businesses as well as many tax issues. They also seek me out for proper protection from the taxing authorities. I go to bat for all my clients. There's nothing more satisfying than the relief and tears of joy on a clients face when I win a case and lift that stressful burden off their shoulders. I get asked a lot from clients, "I'm worried sick about this...what do you think will happen?" I tell them, "Don't worry, I got this. You don't need to worry unless I tell you to, then you'll need to worry". At that point they stop worrying and leave the rest to me. You will be doing the same. I've been there, done that. What inspired you to start your own business?
I've always been a different thinker...the crowd goes right, I go left. I love solving problems and helping people. I also love the freedom it gives me to make my own schedule. I like the fact that I have "job security" ( I'm not going to fire myself and I won't quit). These are probably some of the same reasons that you started or are looking to start your own business.
