Last year I was in and out of detoxes, rehabs and sober livings and 6 total to be exact until i was referred to Riverside by a friend I met through the rooms. It was definitely the best decision I made and due to how well I was treated, I now have a little over a year clean. Today I bring home what I learned there. Today I can struggle and overcome it. Today I'm clean and sober because of them. The thing is, all of them for the most part is in recovery or they have someone close to them that is which connects them to their clients. I had my fair share of ups and downs while being there yet they never gave up on me. They make sure you have a full schedule with different types of classes each day which keeps your mind preoccupied yet training your mind to release the underlying issues of your addiction and how to use coping skills to battle those. They are able to tap into your spiritual, physical and emotional being and bring the best side of you out. I was fit, in connection with my spiritual side for once in my life and learned a lot about myself that i wasnt able to admit before to myself or others. The most important thing that i learned throughout my recovery is that it wont work unless you 100% want it and thats what that place strives for, is showing you that there is a light at the end of the tunnel but you have to want it. I have seen clients go mad while being there and yet the techs and staff will do everything they can to help the situation. I met some amazing people there that i will cherish throughout my life. They stick up for their team along with the clients. They are a family there and they make you feel apart of it also. You just gotta want it. xo More...

I had the opportunity to go to treatment at Riverside Recovery in Tampa, FL in 2017 & 2018. This experience has changed my life immeasurably. The staff, (nurses, technicians, etc.); including the Clinical Director and CEO, and Alumni Coordinator treated me with respect and dignity when i was at one of my lowest points. The individualized treatment and therapy helped facilitate my recovery and focus on regaining my self-worth. The exposure to different programs of recovery was eye opening and helped me realize there was another way to live, and gave me hope. I went to Riverside Recovery inpatient for 6weeks in 2018. The staff is great overall and the food is really good. The residence is very clean and the recovery program is thorough. I especially liked the exercise program, mediation beds, and 12 step recovery focus (plenty of meetings, etc). They were flexible and made improvements per request of the clients while I was there. Owned and operated by men and women who have dealt with addiction themselves. Sad to see bad reviews by spiteful addicts who weren't capable of following professional advice. It seems the more they "think" they know the less likely they are to accept a new perspective. You/I cant go seek professional guidance then tell the help how to help you. I came to Riverside all the way from Columbus, OH..I had no idea what I was getting myself into, all I knew was I needed to get as far away from Columbus as possible to get clean and sober. I detoxed off opiates for 8 days and stayed in Residential for another 30 days. At first days dragged by but then before you knew it I was back home. I really found myself again and I'm emotionally and physically stronger than ever, a big thanks to the staff here. The staff absolutely makes this place. From the counselors, to the nurses, to Dr. Swore, to the techs, to the CEO Kirk, you guys get 5 stars in my books. You guys were amazing and really cared about everyone's well-being. I went to riverside knowing that I needed help, at first I wasn’t happy to be there and I was super angry at life, mainly angry at myself. I was mean, selfish and reckless. I spent 37 days in residential, after two weeks I felt like a completely different person, I started to take suggestions, learn how to tolerate and love other people for who they are. I learned how to be spiritually connected, and I’ve met some of the most amazing people, I with cherish the memories I have at Riverside for life, only after a short month I am smiling everyday, happy and I gained my sense of humor back!! I would highly recommend riverside to anyone seeking help. Most importantly the staff care, they fight for you when you can’t fight for yourself. Big thanks to Alison, you loved me and pushed me when I couldn’t do that for myself. We just wanted to thank the staff At Riverside Recovery for taking such good care of my sister while at your facility. The caring and compassion everyone showed was amazing! ! Not only was my sister cared for but the staff was wonderful about communicating with our family. When I checked into Riverside my life was in a downward spiral. I knew I needed help. I was blessed to find this place. I had no idea of what to expect. Nor did I have any idea of my real underlying issues. I was hurt , most of all I was angry. As I went through the course I found that my anger was in fact why I used . At this facility I found people that truly understand me, I found acceptance,I found help AND I found peace. I found some of the best people that I've ever met and could speak openly with people that truly understood with their personal experiences different but exactly the same. From a staff of men and women that have lived it all the way to professionals that are trained to help those in need, everyone on the staff is more than willing and goes out of their way to help , it's more than a job for these people it is in fact a calling.
I simply love them .
