I can not say enough about the experience I had having my wedding at River Pointe Country Club. It was truly epic! The venue was absolutely beautiful! We had our ceremony in the gazebo and the reception inside. The landscaping and gazebo made for perfect fun pictures. It wasn't hard to find spots to take amazing pictures! Even the back patio that overlooked the course, was breathtaking. When you enter, the settings of the banquet area are beautiful, all windows are views of the golf course. The banquet area was large enough for a full size band, full dance floor and over 20 tables full, with a head table for 12. Very modern decor and easy accessibility to the bar and bathrooms. The bridal suite was large and so cute and had everything we needed! The staff....WOW! Absolutely friendly, professional and accommodating to everyone, even those family members you're not sure should ever be in public! Ashley, I want to personally thank you from the bottom of my heart for you attentiveness to not only my needs, but you made sure no one was without or had question.. you just appeared with what I was thinking! By saying that this place exceeded my expectations is an understatement. My husband and I had our wedding there back in 2016. Stephanie and Ashley we're incredible. They were attentive and understanding working with an anxious bride. Of course you want everything to be perfect, and boy did they deliver. They were extremely flexible and helpful with all of my needs. I felt totally comfortable with the booking and felt completely relaxed with the whole day. I was nervous that the party was getting too big, but they totally accommodated and it was perfect. I highly recommend this space with parties big or small. More...

I golf there every week also golf in a league on Tuesday! Great 27 hole golf courses! Great Bar! SUPER FRIENDLY STAFF!! My Daughter had her Wedding there last summer, awesome wedding they go above and beyond on everything! Food and bar were great! I’m a event planner and event designer in the Gary/Merrillville In area. We installed chair covers and sashes at the venue on July 14, 2018 for a wedding. And the room was stunning! Even before the installation took place the room was so warm and inviting. Stephanie who is the events coordinator for the venue was phenomenal! Her and her staff. I feel like this is an often overlooked reception site, but I'm not sure why! The room is beautiful with a rounded blue ceiling and decorative lights. There is a beautiful view of the golf course behind the head table. They can arrange the room any way you like. On top of that, the food is exceptional. I've never been to a wedding that has had food that good so I'm glad I was able to provide such a good feast at my own wedding. Kay is very helpful and answered all of my questions. I also felt it was a great value. A lot of other places we looked at were much more expensive, but I felt like this place was much more affordable while at the same time providing great service. The only slight drawback is that it's part of a country club, so you can expect to see a few non-wedding people occasionally walking by in the hall, but that doesn't even compare to all the other great assets this place has going for it so it's not really a huge deal.
