I started reYou Total Health to empower people to reimagine health beyond diet and exercise. I am a certified personal trainer and certified health coach.
As a personal trainer, I believe in movement that makes us feel good and keeps our bodies running smoothly, which is different for each of us. There is a type of movement out there for everyone - sometimes we just need a little help thinking outside the box, which is bit of my specialty.
As a health coach, I believe in lifestyle medicine and approaching root issues rather than symptoms. I believe in the basics, and stress management is an integral part of my overall approach. My mission is helping people rediscover the happiest and healthiest versions of themselves, which often means deprogramming from years of messages about the "right" way to do things - as though we are all the same. We are not. As a health coach, my job is to honor who you are today and help guide you toward who you'd like to be tomorrow.

I highly recommend Shauna's ability to assess the needs and goals of a person's whole health and to develop a personalized program to benefit that person. She truly listens and actively coaches you through the program. I have been working with Shauna for over three months and the difference in how I feel is dramatic. How do you help your clients achieve their fitness goals?
I help clients achieve their goals by empowering them with accurate information and asking them to be part of the program design process. Fitness is a lifestyle, and I'm here to find ways to challenge you, motivate you, and help you achieve your goals using fitness as a tool rather than a punishment.
What’s the secret to getting the body of your dreams?
The secret to getting the body of your dreams is to workout far more often than anyone would like, and watch what they eat far more often than anyone would like. Media has distorted our idea of the "body of our dreams" to a point where it's virtually unattainable unless that is what you want to dedicate most of your time to. And I will never lie.
I am focused on helping you FEEL like you have the body of your dreams, not working to achieve unrealistic standards. That may include fat loss. It will definitely include challenging you and asking you to go just a little bit outside of your comfort zone - within reason - but it's never going to include support for creation of habits that are unrealistic or, quite frankly, unhealthy.
My entire goal is to help people find true balance with health and fitness. Living a happy, healthy life shouldn't be all-consuming, and it doesn't have to be.
What do you love most about your job?
Helping others recognize - or discover - their strengths and inherent power. Moving the body isn't just about a workout - the benefits carry over into almost every facet of life, making life more enjoyable. And I just LOVE helping people improve their quality of life and ENJOY living again.
