It has been such a pleasure working with Carol. I have tried other therapist's and they just seemed to want to give me pamphlets and figure everything out myself. Carol is very hands on and you can see that she is very sincere and really cares. She has taught me so much. I look forward to meeting with her every time. I highly recommend her. More...

Q&As

Witnessing transformation of my clients is the most rewarding experience I have experiment from my job.

I was inspired back in 2003 when I decided that my mission was to alleviate suffering and provide guidance to a joyful life.

The psychological improvement of my clients comes from the way I engage their physical, emotional, social, spiritual, and intellectual components into therapy. In addition to this, I am genuinely committed to my clients wellbeing because the path is easier to travel with genuine guidance.

Services

It's not possible to gain psychological improvements without engaging your physical, emotional, social, spiritual, and intellectual components into therapy. For this reason, I provide customized holistic treatment plans which might include: Hypnotherapy, Mindfulness Based Therapies, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Metacognition, Bio-energetic Techniques, Yoga, and Dance Therapy. The purpose of each dynamic plan is to lead you to relinquish your negative and maladaptive mental habits.

Carol is certified with TeleMental Health to provide online counseling services. Enjoy therapy from the conforts of your place. This convenient method is more affordable and can be provided through you smart phone, ipad or any other computer device.

What Is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy?

CBT is an approach for which there is ample scientific evidence that the methods that have been developed actually produce change. Is a form of psychological treatment that has been demonstrated to be effective for depression, anxiety disorders, alcohol and drug use problems, marital problems, eating disorders and severe mental illness.

Numerous research studies suggest that CBT leads to significant improvement in functioning and quality of life. In many studies, CBT has been demonstrated to be as effective as, or more effective than, other forms of psychological therapy or psychiatric medications.

Empirically proven self-regulation practices that help treating depression, anxiety and mood disorders. Mindfulness focus on training attention and awareness in order to bring mental processes under greater voluntary control and thereby foster general mental well-being and development and/or specific capacities such as calmness, clarity and concentration amongst other.

Research suggest that mindfulness-based therapy may be useful in altering affective and cognitive processes that underlie multiple clinical issues. Those findings are consistent with evidence that mindfulness meditation increases positive affect and decreases anxiety and negative affect.

Dance therapy refers to a broad range of Eastern and Western movement approaches used to promote physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

It is part of the mindfulness practices. Yoga’s positive benefits on mental health have made it an important practice tool of psychotherapy (American Psychological Association). It has been shown to enhance social well being through a sense of belonging to others, and improve the symptoms of depression, attention deficit and hyperactivity, and sleep disorders. Also, yoga can improve symptoms of schizophrenia when it is done alongside drug therapy (Yoga and Mental Health, Huffington Post 2013).

Yoga has been shown to increase the level of gamma-aminobutyric acid, or GABA, a chemical in the brain that helps to regulate nerve activity. This is especially relevant to people who have anxiety disorders in which GABA activity is low (Yoga and Your Mood, the Ultimate Yogi).
