Wow. What a find! My sister told me about this place and so I thought I'd give it a look. Love the location, the vibe, the staff and the food. Everyone in Slidell needs to eat here, at least once a week. Seriously. Haven't heard a band in the bar (Read: "Maple Room") but I'm sure it will be terrific. The staff were prompt and attentive - especially Shelbi - who should get a raise. I don't know what they pay her but it CANT be enough. I had the Creole Scampi - Andouille Sausage and Shrimp and large pasta noodles the size of Rhode Island - but still delicious. But the main thing was the white wine based sauce - Oh my goodness! Could they just serve the sauce? In a glass? With a straw? Shelbi mixed a great couple of drinks. The Sazerac was classic New Orleans, Roosevelt Hotel, Sazerac Bar caliber. Yes. It was THAT good. Drop what you're doing and get over here. We need to make sure this place gets all the business it can get....6/7/19 - Dinner with my Sister and Bro-In-Law - great time together in a sweet spot. Had the Salted Caramel Old Fashioned and the Shrimp and Oyster Rustica - both very nicely done. The service was fantastic with Billy taking care of us - what a treasure this place is for Slidell6/21/19 - Back again - this time sampling the Chicken Roulade - Chicken stuffed with Goat cheese and blueberries and other bits and pieces on a bed of mustard greens with minced, candied bacon mixed in - and it just WORKED. We took a chance on the Cote and pleasantly pleased !! I had the pork shoulder with freshly made cole slaw. And my wife had their daily special pork chop and mashed potatoes. Excellent!! The coffee she brought was the best ! She brought me a sample of their gumbo! Great place for lunch!! We shared the banana foster bread pudding..delicious!! More...
