Describe your creative process.
I like to have a design brief with my clients so I can understand the project and determine the final goal. I will then sit down to sketch out ideas for the project. During this time I am not so much trying to create the perfect possible solution as much as I am trying to just let the creative spirit flow...trying not to get in the way. From there I will analyze the different ideas and take the stronger pieces to Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop/InDesign and start executing these ideas.
I like to present 2-3 different ideas to my clients, giving them a chance to analyze the concepts and give feedback. After narrowing down the direction, I will continue with tweaking any elements that need adjusted until the we hit the mark.
What information do you need from a client before you can start work?
I need to know the budget for the campaign. It is always the most uncomfortable part, but vital in order to see if working together is going to be in the best interest of both parties. Going from there, I need to understand who the client is and what impact they are trying to make in their space. I like to ask questions to help understand their positioning in the market place, the personality of the business, and the experience they want to create for their customers.
What do you love most about your job?
I love the process of design. It's fascinating to me to start with a person's idea or dream, and to be able to walk with them through the journey of turning that idea into a reality.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have a skill set that I believe is meant to be shared with others. With any skill set, you must practice it again and again in order to grow and develop it. I enjoy pushing myself, and showing others it can be done.
Why should our clients choose you?
I believe I am going to offer clients the best I can give them. It is not just another job for me...it is a relationship with a common purpose. A client's success is my success. I want them to feel that I am in it with them. If their is something I can't do within my skill set, I am going to find the best person to solve that need. It's going to get done!
