What makes a great website?
Conversion. Plain and simple. When someone 'clicks to call' or fills out a contact form or buys a product that you offer, that is what makes a great website. And that varies from business to business. Do you sell pets? Are you a painting contractor? This is not a stock answer. If you are looking for that, we are not the company for you. However, if you are looking for a company that listens, ask questions, develops a deep understanding of your business and your competitors, we should chat. Anyone can build a website. We are here to help you make money.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
What is your end goal with this project? What does it look like? Are there workflows you would like to see? How do you want to position yourself in your market? Do you need to 'grow' this project in stages? Can you outline those stages for us? Who are your competitors? What are there strengths and weaknesses? What are your strengths and weaknesses? What product or service do you make the largest gross margin on? How can we capitalize on that? What is your time frame? What is your expectation?
What do you love most about your job?
The most rewarding thing about my job is that it is not a job, it is a lifestyle. I take great pride in getting results for my clients and being able to tell stories like this. I rebuilt a website for one of my clients that I've had for over a decade. When he handed me the check, he said "Ed, I really like giving you money. Because every time I do, you make me more."
In my heart, I am a builder. Yes, I build websites, but more than that, I help my clients build their business. Let's face it... we are small businesses who are going against the Goliaths... my favorite phrase is "Just Say NoDaddy,,, Buy Local".
What inspired you to start your own business?
My inspiration...corporate kept telling me 'NO'. It's not possible, you can't.
