Brett is one of the very best acupuncturists and Asian body work therapists I have ever seen over the last 25 years! He cares, he listens, he knows what to do extremely well to help get you back in action and even makes you laugh! I have a history of chronic pain since 1994 from orthopedic trauma from a car accident and overuse as jewelry designer for 15 years. I can’t even begin to explain how awesome Bret is! I’d had a horrible experience at another acupuncturist but based on the yelp reviews I decided to try Red Raven. I have an irrational fear of needles but Bret makes you feel really relaxed and explains everything so thoroughly that any & all apprehension disappears! Bret is a wonderful therapist that I have been to several times now, and every time I have felt very thoughtfully seen and heard, in a way that is personal, and genuinely empathetic about my healing journey. Without pulling any punches or coming across as patronizing or aloof (which is sometimes the case with other practitioners), Bret is both incredibly warm, and no nonsense in his approach to healing. I have been looking for new ways to help treat my PCOS as most methods to help have been temporary at best. I wanted to try acupuncture and found Bret on yelp and am so very pleased that I started going.

Bret is very knowledgeable and empathetic around women's health issues and that has translated into impactful treatment so far. His patience in explaining what he is doing and what that means in the world of Traditional Chinese Medicine is very reassuring to anyone new to it.

I've never really been into acupuncture - I had tried it for allergies once. I came to Brett for general muscle tension issues, and not only is he very good at making you feel at ease with acupuncture, but he also does trigger point release massage and cupping. I had a fantastic acupuncture/cupping session with Bret. This was my first time for either, and he was excellent at listening to me about what was going on with me, explaining what he was doing, checking in with me along the way and afterwards (and warning me that my back might look pretty heinous for a little while after an intense cupping session :)), and just generally being such a warm calming presence. My back did indeed look pretty scary for a few days afterwards, but I felt an immediate improvement in several dimensions (pain reduced, range of mobility improved, general mood lifted).
