What do you love most about your job?
Teaching students about the world of literature, writing, art, history, and the humanities is incredibly rewarding because we ask students to change their modes of thinking, broaden their perspectives, look deeper into themselves, and question the ways of the world around them. When students ask profound questions about society and our individual place in the network of civilization, we know we are doing our job right and unleashing their critical thinking potential.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I wanted to provide kids with a more fun and encouraging path toward expressing themselves in writing and learning about themselves through literature and history. Parents want their kids to think differently and communicate more effectively. We hope to get kids just as excited as their parents about exploring the world and their place in it.
Why should our clients choose you?
At Quest, we consider ourselves to be mentors. That means we connect with students as friends and role models as well as teachers. We think learning should be both fun and challenging, and we spend a lot of time and effort designing curriculum that engages students' creativity and excitement for learning. We are highly educated in the worlds of literature, writing, history, political science, arguments and debates, and even philosophy. Our hunger for knowledge is transferred onto the kids through our passion and commitment to discovering truths about and complexities of life. We strive to progress as teachers by implementing newer, intelligent teaching strategies and promote the use of strong methods, organization, and assessment within our curriculum.

Yes, we provide remote or online tutoring as well as group classes.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
In person, we wear masks and find places to meet that are not crowded.
1:1 Tutoring
We provide 1:1 tutoring to middle and high school students in the areas of English, literature, writing, history, composition, social studies, and SAT prep.
Intermediate Writing Class: Expository, Informative, Persuasive
For students grades 5-8. In this class, we will complete prompts each week in the areas of expository, informative, and persuasive writing. Students will learn more advanced strategies for brainstorming, outlining, structuring, writing creatively, and proofreading. This is an ongoing class which will continue for the whole year (including the summer!).
Advanced Writing Class: Arguments, Rhetoric, Debate
For students grades 9-12. In this class, we will complete prompts each week in the areas of expository, informative, and persuasive writing. Students will learn more advanced strategies for brainstorming, outlining, structuring, writing creatively, and proofreading. This is an ongoing class which will continue for the whole year (including the summer!).
