Sun night, 9/5/21 - Arrived at 8:10, closed at 9pm - party of four. Ordered calamari for app, waitress came back and said they were out. Waitress offered mozzarella sticks, we said sure, she then came back and said they were out! So no apps for us - asked if had root beer, waitress said yes, we ordered 3 root beers and one coke. Waitress came back and said they are out of root beer!!!! So ordered 2 teas, Diet Coke, and a coke. We got our food which was great. Around 8:50, almost done with our meals, asked waitress for refill of our two teas. Waitress came back and said they had no tea as it was just thrown out!!!!! We could not believe this! Have two customers who have purchased tea and they throw it out!!!!!! It is not even 9 yet but still if have paying customers with tea you do not throw out!!! We decided we were done and just got the check and left. I usually write positive reviews but had to write this as this dining experience was just unbelievable!!! Out of calamari, mozzarella sticks, root beer, threw the tea out after we had been drinking it. Pronto's didn't even give us any discount , charged us for the teas and drinks - just terrible!!!!! Been going here for 8 yrs. This was the favorite of our Italian Family.We relied on their consistency. Well...they fail now. Portions are smaller and same price. Bread wasn't given and had to ask many times. Manicotti was not cooked and had to send back. Waitress was inattentive. The Montes Special is now not served in the hot dish and smaller yet same price. Let me start by saying the food is great!! It's the service that I had an issue with today. At 4:58 pm I placed an order for 2 pizzas, and two appetizers. The website said it would be 40 minutes, not a problem. I checked my email and found the confirmation email said 5:58 pm, again, not a problem. I arrived at the restaurant a little after 6, and was told it would be 10-15 more minutes, annoying. but okay. I sat and waited my turn, and watched other people come after me while I waited for about 30 minutes. For an order I had placed an hour and a half earlier. I'm pretty sure my order just wasn't made until I got there. I got to my car with my order at 6:45, and drove home to realize one of my pizzas didn't have the extra toppings I ordered on it that I paid for. Frustrating. More...

Both my husband and I rate the food at 3 stars. I'm usually pretty generous with my ratings and try local establishments often. Sadly this place did not live up to expectation. In fact, the Zataran frozen chicken pasta dish has more flavor and freshness.The cream sauce was separated in the bottom, it lacked much spinach and dry tomato pieces that description mentioned.The service was fairly fast, and plentiful portion.The best part of the meal was the warm rolls served at the beginning. We ordered 3 subs and a pasta entre. Also, we got an appetizer.Ordering from the menu, and Slice, the subs all state they come with fries. We received no fries at all. We left after we never were asked our drink order, or any contact with the waitstaff after the hostess seated us. She even told the waitress she was seating us. The waitress tended to a table that was seated after us and then after them another couple were seated in the same vicinity as us. She went right away to them. We felt invisible and left. Over the years, I've given Pronto's several chances. Normally the food is decent and the wait service has always been good, but several different times, two different ladies at the front counter have been downright rude- sometimes to me, sometimes to other employees. But the last two times, I swore I would never return. Last night, however, we called three other Italian places in Wise County and they were all closed, so I reluctantly called Pronto's again. It was a 25 minute drive from my house to pick up my order. First we had a disagreement over a gift card I had for $10. I've never known a restaurant to put a six-month expiration on a gift card. I had purchased the gift card in a fundraiser event at a local auction. Secondly, once I got home and began eating, I noticed my pasta was way over cooked. I was excited at the portions, thinking I would have leftovers today, but the pasta was terrible. No rigatoni, no pasta, should be overcooked. I did not call in because it was late already, and like I said, it was a 25 minute drive to get there. I had hoped, once again, that it would be better. I was wrong. I have been told the owner wants to know these things, and I've considered trying to contact him in the past, but my biggest problem in the past has been the front counter.EDIT- Thank you to the owner for a quick response. However, what I stated were facts and my opinion and nothing remotely slanderous. I had hoped for some sort of remorse, or correction (for the overcooked pasta), rather than a defensive response. I'll not be back! The "front person" at any establishment can "make or break" it for the future. I'm sure she's hard-working, in fact she told me she was, but she's running your business off. I believe reviews are meant to help an establishment, but this does not seem to be the case. And with a second local Italian restaurant within miles, I'd hoped this review would not fall on deaf ears. More...

This place has gone down hill since the owners moved to Florida. The food quality is worse. Service by at at least one waitress is rude. Yesterday we order crab cakes that were inedible. They were so terrible, we couldn't a single bite--yet they would not discount the cost. A dog wouldn't eat them they were so bad. Food was great as always. Tried Chicken Genoese for 1st time. Very rich & flavorful. Call restaurant directly for take out instead of using Grub Hub link through Yelp. I must update my previous review. I went back to Pronto's with a couple of friends. Luck of the draw, we got the same server. She was great! One of my friends was a bit needy and the server handled it all quickly and pleasantly. The other friend had never been to Pronto's and loved it. I will always give restaurants with previous great food and service the benefit of the doubt. I am glad to know Pronto's has not changed hands because it's always been so good. Sorry for the doubt! Wow. Where to start, where to start. We ordered delivery last night. We don't eat out much, but as tired parents, decided to take the leap of faith. This was the second time trying this place....The first time we ordered and I picked the food up. We got fettuccini Alfredo and Chicken piccata (my favorite dish ever....) The Alfredo was disappointing, clumpy; which usually happens when you let the Alfredo boil...Does not happen if properly cooked. The piccata was heart wrenching. The chicken had the texture of cheaply bought meat, there was hardly any sauce, and it was flat out lack luster. They give you a ridiculous portion of pasta with hardly any protein. <br>The second time(yesterday:) Ordered the Hawaiian and the Meat Lovers pizza.....To put it simply; We regret not getting dominoes. It would've been less expensive, and we would've enjoyed it more. Seems to be harder to find good pizza than it is bad pizza now a days. Really was hoping an "Italian," restaurant would give us better results. Anyone who says "this place is great," has literally never tasted REAL Italian food. This place actually makes me want to open an Italian restaurant in this town just to prove how much better it should be. I haven't even mentioned my child's 10 dollar kids meal. We ordered spaghetti and meatballs, or in this case A whole bunch of spaghetti and 1 meatball. We added a side salad to this order. Did we get it? NO. We ordered chili flakes and parm as well, did we get them??? NO. Has this happened before? YES! <br>At this point, an establishment that forgets my salad not once, but twice, is an establishment that needs to seriously evaluate their input output. <br>They servers sit around polishing silverware in the front which is unprofessional, and unappetizing. The first time I picked up my food I waited for 30 minutes(after calling in 20 minutes before) while witnessing people get their orders and leave. Finally a server came out and just set my order on the counter. Watched multiple servers look at it and just walk by. It took me grabbing my order to get it!! Guess what wasn't in our bag? THE SALAD. I got it, and left. This first experience left me upset, and wanting to leave a review! Since we were new in town at the time, I decided to give them he benefit of the doubt and try again. <br>We will not be back. And I do NOT look forward to the owners "witty," unprofessional response as I've seen from other reviews. I'm writing this for the consumer, at this point I'm convinced this place doesn't care to do better. After the 25% tip plus 2 pizzas, and kids meal; Out 43 bucks. We read the reviews and decided to give it a try. A party of four, seated quickly, waitress was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu items. <br><br>She recommended several items, I chose the Trio. When it came out, I had already had a house salad, I was expecting what I got. <br><br>The plate was large and full.
