Prime Cuts is the most amazing butcher and specialty shop around. As a Private Chef, I only serve the highest quality ingredients to my clients and I go to a few specialty markets in Toledo for other items, but I use Prime Cuts for my meat and Pasta. I can find certain cuts or meats there that I can't find else where. Some cuts have good prices. They have a mini buffet that serves hearty foods. Great desserts. I would shop there all the time if I can remember to go there. The only down side is location is a bit far, breads are pricey and certain cuts are costly, store is a bit small. Best meat market around. They have the absolute best cuts of everything you’d want. But, despite having a premiere lineup of goods, the absolute best part is the staff. They are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. I recommend just asking the folks behind the counter what they recommend today, how they would spice something, or how they would prepare something. Their meat selection is excellent, ESPECIALLY the bacon. Their hamburger patties are always delicious, and I can almost never resist the Grand Traverse pies they have at their checkout counter. Service is always friendly and efficient. Only thing I don't really like are their selection of deli meats and salads (they lack flavor and they don't preserve for long,) but I feel like I can't really blame the staff for that. More...
