We've been using Prance Around for 2 years now and they have been extremely convenient and reliable. Their scheduling site is easy to use, and I love that they give daily updates with tons of photos while we're away.

Hello, I went out of town for 4 days mid January and Prance around pet services provided exceptional care for my cat Diamond. I learned about Prance Around Pet Service through a neighborhood group Facebook post. I originally hired them for dog walking services while I was on a 7-day vacation. My initial call was returned quickly, and Joelyne was friendly, professional, and enthusiastic about meeting my dog. She was timely in sending the onboarding paperwork, and completing the set-up was easy. She set up a Zoom call (since my request for service was only 2 days away), and "met" me and my dog virtually. It was perfect.Every day while I was away, one of Prance Around's team members showed up during my specified window and walked my dog for 45 minutes. I received a custom walk report via email every day following the walk, and it usually included pictures. I LOVE that feature! While on vacation, a family member became critically ill and required hospitalization immediately upon our return to the US. I was able to email Prance Around and extend service for an additional week without any problems. Our service commitment ended, and only a few short days later, my family member was back in the hospital. With only a day's notice, I was able to contact Prance Around and get my dog back on their schedule. No hassles. No problems. Joelyne and her crew are incredibly kind, generous, and empathetic. It has been such a relief to know that I can call on them to take care of my girl and not have any worries. I would, without hesitation, absolutely recommend Prance Around Pet Services, and I will continue to use them as our needs arise. When I initially contacted them to start service they told me they werent taking clients. I then posted in my neighborhood facebook page "Does anyone have any recommendations for dog walking besides Prance Around? they state theyre not taking new clients". I got a text from them later that day asking me to take the post down because other folks are calling asking why they dont take new clients anymore and they would accept me as a client. Very odd they didnt want to service my pets at all and lied about them not taking new clients (before even meeting them). Despite this I decided to work with them. Its been overall an okay experience. I had one experience where the dog walker sat in the car with my dog vs walking her the full time. I emailed and another walker was assigned. The ultimate reason I've found another sitter is after working with them for years they refused to help me with friends elderly dog who is staying with me. I offered them to meet the dog and the dog just needed a quick let out. They state because he's not their client they cannot help. This was me asking to hire them to be their client? Prices have risen since COVID and theres much better walkers out there for a more affordable price and who aren't so wishy washy. They are fantastic. Take great care of my fur baby. My apt is difficult to access isolated floors. No problem for Prance Around staff. My cat Charley's personality is, how did vet put it? Fractious with people and change. I just call her my baby Bi?&h! When I travel they send me photos and reports of my baby girl and it eases my heart knowing she well cared for in my absence. I have used the service a few times and I found the owner unpleasant when confronted with the simplest of statements. I'm glad others find her helpful - I need someone who is kind and professional and considers the customer is always right. We worked with her husband the first time around and our dog loved him - I think this is where the problem stems from.I also notice all the positive reviews are really old... besides Jolene's weird response to my trying to schedule an early walk due to excessive temps the area - when I tried to schedule a week of walks with Justin for my dogs bday she absolutely could not comply. I think she said in her recent email to me her company is too large to comply with personal requests (like early walk times to avoid the heat). More...

Prance Around Pet Services in Laurel, MD did a great job and I would use them again. As someone who is new to the area, I was nervous about inviting an unknown service to come into my home to take care of my 3 cats & fish tanks. Our visit was $27/day for included litter box(s) cleaning, food and water refreshment, fish feeding/tank monitoring, lights/blinds rotation and waste removal. This is a great value as my cats were so much more happy in the comfort of their own home and it would be 3x as expensive to accommodate them elsewhere. I really wish I was able to leave a more detailed review pertaining to the services being offered at Prance Around. I reached out regarding a one walk per day M-F for my dog while I was busy with meetings during that time. The initial meeting went well and I was greeted with professionalism. On the day of my dogs scheduled walk, I accidentally did not answer the phone by the walker as I was in the bathroom. Given that Im a few months pregnant I tend to use the bathroom often. While I understand this is a business and time is money. I really wish I would have been given another opportunity to use these services as I see there are many 5 star reviews. I was called by the owner stating that my apartment building is too difficult to access and I was unfit as a client. This was the very FIRST day of services. I would have completely understood if this happened more than once with me and was an ongoing issue. I was also told that there had been other clients in my complex which is one of the reasons I decided to use their services. I was also told about other building access issues and I figured since I am home it wouldn't be an issue. Apparently it was. I wish this was taken into consideration before they agreed to have me as a client and I wouldn't have wasted my time filling out paperwork. Given that life happens, I am curious to know how other scheduling issues are handled if after one mishap you are denied as a client. Again, it was a complete accident thad I missed the dog walkers call and I accept full responsibility for that. I just wish I would've been given another opportunity so that I would be able to leave a better review. My fiance and I have been using Prance Around Pet Services (Laurel team) for the past 2 years. I loved that Joelyne personally came to our home to meet our cats and thoroughly explain the policies, booking process, etc. She was lovely! The online booking makes everything VERY easy, and you are even able to view when the sitters have completed a visit. We loved getting picture updates and always felt confident that our two cats were taken care of. We never had any problems with cancellations or flakiness. We LLLLLOOOOOVVVVVEEEEE Prance Around Pet Services! We have two dogs, and we have been using their services for about a year now. At first, we were very hesitant in the beginning about letting people into the house, but after meeting Joelyne and having a consultation in our house where she could meet our dogs, she answered all our questions and assured us of their policies and procedures. From the initial meeting, we knew Prance Around was the right choice for our babies. So incredibly grateful to the outstanding care their team gives our dogs, but also the love. Most of the time we are using the Vacation Pet Sitting option for the 30 minute visits, and it helps us to feel so much more at ease knowing that our dogs are not only being fed and taken out for potty, but they are also being played with! Every minute of the 30 minutes is being used to care for our pups. Occasionally, we receive pictures via text from some of the staff to show us how our pups are doing. Also, reports are even left behind to let us know how the visit went. We love those! I have even had emergency situations at times where I was unable to get home. All I did was call Joelyne, and she took care of it on the spot. The online portal is great and makes scheduling easy to do. There are so many different service options. So absolutely wonderful.  I had been a customer for years when in of my fur babies got very sick.  He was on a feeding tube and I had to go back to work.  Joelyn came over to learn how it worked so that they could do the midday feeding.
