My husband and I got married June 22nd at the SLO Mission Plaza. This venue was not only very unique to hold a reception but it was also a destination spot for us, so trusting in vendors was a risk we had to take. However, Popolo exceeded all of our expectations! From the time we met with them to do a tasting, until the time of our wedding, they made us feel so comfortable and at ease. Popolo has online menu options that make choices and pricing extremely easy to view. They are also willing to work with any changes you want to make to the menu to cater to your taste. I emailed back and forth with staff hundreds of times and they were always extremely prompt and helpful and never made me feel like I was bothering them. As I mentioned, having our reception at the mission plaza was very unique, but Popolo was beyond willing to jump on board and help us make this vision happen. Amazing food for our wedding in San Luis Obispo. They were so accommodating for my own dietary restrictions, in addition to those of our guests. Leon and Monica were incredible to work with, and the staff and bartenders that served at our event were incredibly kind. Aloha did a stunning job on my wedding dress alteration, I have literally never had clothes fit better than that dress when they were done with it! They are often extremely busy (because they do such good work!), but as long as you are patient and polite, they'll take amazing care of you. I'm incredibly impressed. Wish I could rate them higher!! From our initial encounter at a wedding fair and on through the tasting, planning, and finally the wedding itself, the service was highly professional and very personal. Celebrated our youngest daughter's wedding on May 25th and enjoyed the most amazingly delcious food and outstanding service provided by Popolo catering. Leon and staff exceeded our expectations and we have received many compliments from our guests about the tri-tip, chicken, and especially the garlic mashed potatoes!! The family style table service was the very best way to get hot food to over a hundred guests quickly and efficiently. Leon and Kat were a great pleasure to work with throughout the entire process. My husband and I are from out of town and they were so flexible to work with our schedules and the limited time we had to plan our wedding. From the moment we met to the very last meeting, Kat was so pleasant and willing to accommodate any request we had or answer any questions that may have come up through the process. We got married on 8.11.18 and are still running into people who are complimenting the food and service of Popolo catering. We were from out of the area planning my wedding and most times this would be a major hassle to companies, not Popolo. Our main point of contact, Monica, was always extremely responsive, communicated well, and kept us up to date on anything and everything. They allowed us to work with our ever changing numbers for the wedding and always kept the contract up to date. On the actual day of, the team arrived on time, prepared delicious food, and made the night go off without any disasters.
