We hired Mike for our wedding out in Breckenridge and were extremely pleased with how the photos turned out. He got some great candids and posed shots and his prices are very reasonable. We had a smaller, intimate wedding with about 45 family and friends and he got some great shots of everyone there and was able to quickly take all the "standard" posed wedding photos for us so that we could maximize our time catching up with everyone at the wedding. Mike really went out of his way to help us out - he even handed over his camera to me and my groomsmen as he put on the boutonnieres for us because none of us knew what we were doing! I was fortunate enough to have the pleasure of meeting Mike when he came to my child's daycare to take pictures of the kids with their siblings earlier this year and really did not think much about it. In the short amount of time we were allowed to take a few pictures, Mike took the most amazing photos at a nearby park and captured smiles and expressions that were priceless....I knew that I would use him for a family session. We haven't had a family picture taken professionally since way before my daughter was born and she is 3 years old now. Long story short, why didn't Mike come into our lives sooner? Absolutely amazing. He knew of a simple spot down the street from our house which didn't seem like anything real special, but Mike turned it into something out of this world. We could not believe how beautiful each and every one of our pictures turned out. Mike, you are stuck with the DeGray Family for as long as you will entertain our craziness! We were lucky to have been able to work with Mike and his second photographer, Steve. They were willing to travel over 2 hours to come and photograph our wedding. One was able to capture what the other one didn't. Mike was a very calming presence for me before the wedding and I was happy to have him around. He was very helpful communicating with my DJ when we couldn't find our "wedding coordinator" before the reception.

If I could give Mike more stars I would! He scheduled me a month or two out (which I wanted) and the day before sent me a reminder/confirmation. He was professional and kind. But most importantly the actual photo shoot was PAINLESS! I really wanted profession photos of my family but my husband hates these kinds of things and I too think they are kind of awkward- mike didn’t only make it comfortable and easy he made it fun! He had clear direction which made it boom boom boom EASY! My daughter (2.5) who I was worried about because she doesn’t like to be told what to do didn’t cry or fight ONCE! Clearly a test of how comfortable he made all of us!!! The photos BLEW ME AWAY! I was excited to see them but when I actually saw them, they surpassed any expectations I may have had. I can not say enough about the whole experience from initial contact to recievig my photos! I HIGHLY recommend this gem of a man. He made my Mother’s Day! Thank you Mike from the bottom of my heart! He knew how to capture every shot in a dim lit church and he was outstanding at telling everyone where to go. The night before our wedding I sent a shot list to him and he didn't miss a single one. Crystalle was amazing as well. Standing alone in a room waiting for a wedding to start could be terrifying and she helped me keep calm and serene. Working with Pixels by Mike was fantastic. He came all the away from south Denver to north Denver with the family. He is very professional, friendly and we had a wonderful experience. He recommends the poses, where to stand, and always looks at the light of the sun and make the necessary suggestion. Pixels by Mike did a wonderful job all around!We really can't thank Mike enough! He did an amazing job photographing, and directing, our wedding! He was very good about telling people where to be, and when. My husband and I had a very casual wedding that would have gone awry very easily if Mike hadn't been there to help direct everything and everyone. And the pictures!!! What an amazing photographer. There are pictures and angles I would never have thought to even ask for! My husband wore a tux with a top hat, and Mike got some great sepia and black-and-white pictures of him that are just fantastic. Mike Carrizales (Pixels by Mike Photography) was the smoothest running part of the machine that was our son's recent Bar Mitzvah. He really heard us. What we wanted. What we didn't want. And what came back to us was all that plus what we didn't even know to ask for. Mike Carrizales is an outstanding photographer! He photographed our wedding. When we received the photos, we were so impressed with the variety of shots Mike took from creative/artistic, to posed, to ones that were candid. As a bride, I truly appreciated all the pictures of décor and the room setting. These are many things that I did not necessarily notice being swept up with the whole day. Mike is the nicest photographer we spoke to when trying to find someone to do the pictures for our wedding. He is very accommodating, professional and went out of his way to travel and be a part of the event. I think the quality of his work reflects the fact he paid attention to what we, as the client wanted him to focus on. The pictures all came out lovely and personal and he didn't even bat an eye at the difficultly in wrangling a loud and rowdy wedding party. Mike is an awesome photographer - the ultimate professional. We did our engagement shoot in Manitou Springs, and requested various outdoor and indoor shots. We spent 2 hours walking around the town, with Mike patiently taking many candid and posed pictures. He was very willing to listen to our ideas, even letting us take some of the pictures with our dog. He captured so many wonderful pictures, had some very unique and clever ideas for pictures, and did so with a very "hey-let's-try it" attitude. I had already chosen a photographer prior to hiring Mike and had realized that the “friend deal” he was offering me was more expensive than a lot of the photographers we had looked at.
