Our grandson was visiting and begging us for ribs. Â We decided on pig-sty BBQ because the reviews were really favorable. Â We were not disappointed . We ordered the $32 combo platter which came with a half rack of ribs which were enormous and meaty. Â The brisket was tender and delicious and the chicken was also very tasty. I rarely eat pork and only eat beef every now and then but I came to Pig Sty to watch my friends' band play so I ordered collard greens as a snack. You can order small through large sizes. The collard greens have a lot of taste. There is plenty of garlic and ham pieces (which I ate, as the greens are made in batches) to give it a lot of flavor. My only complaint if any is that it was a little too oily for my liking. Pig Sty does offer a vegetarian alternative to dinner in form of jackfruit burger (YES-!jackfruit!) The nice guy behind the counter gave me a sample of it and I found it quite interesting. Bc the fruit itself isn't a very sweet fruit but can be shredded just like pulled pork, it makes sense. Although it's not sweet, it is still a fruit after all, so it won't be as savory and rich as the true pulled pork. I'm not convinced that I will be able to finish an entire sandwich, but I think next time I'll order just to get the full effect.One more thing to mention about Pig Sty is that they have a great stage for bands, lights, full sound system, and all. Had to see what all the hype was about. Now I KNOW! This place is top-notch, made from scratch, home style smoked BBQ. Amazing smoked meats, from scratch sides, and a down home atmosphere. The chef came out to make sure the meal was good and let us know about upcoming events. As a nice addition, this place is military and first responder loving. Pretty good confused as to the lack of sweet tea. Has pastrami on Monday which is okay cut a little thick. Got scared when he took the pulled pork out of a bag but it was good. Mac n cheese to me was good but it would be an acquired taste but definitely not bland. Collard greens I'd skip. More...

DELICIOUS!Definitely the best barbecue I've had in South Florida. First time in the other night and I couldn't be more impressed. Solid BBQ choice in So.FL. Both brisket and pulled pork were good. Fresh cut fries were a nice add on. They were breaking in a new counter girl, who needed more training, but I'll give them a pass on that. Met the owner; super nice dude.

Great BBQ place. Pulled pork is exceptional and they sides are great. Plenty of specials (fried brussel sprouts-Yum). They have awesome pastrami on Mondays and Fridays at noon but you have to get there at noon because they run out super-quick. Thursday combo special (2 meats/2 sides for $14) is a great bargain. Wow I'm impressed. The gentleman behind the counter took the time to walk me through the menu and the specials. The roadhouse beans are fantastic. The fries and onion rings were cooked to order. It's dingy and dark and perfect. I had pulled pork and brisket combo. My son had turkey and brisket. The brisket was perfectly cooked and fork cut tender. The pulled pork was sublime. Real Kansas City Q from the brisket to the burnt ends to Some of the best made onion rings on the planet, this Championship pitmaster makes deal barbecue that puts Troys and Sweets and The other Southern smokers to shame with magnificent midwestern meats, music, and fun funk adorning the walls. I am great selection of beers, fountain drinks and a lot of homemade desserts eating some killer ice creams, and an ooey gooey cake. On Thursdays and sometimes on the weekend they have live music and a state-of-the-art sound system in this funky looking, Grateful Dead, 60s throwback kind of place. They have "Beat the Clock" specials, down in, Monday to Thursday: A two meat combo dinner with two sides - 4 to 5p pay $10; 5-6 it's $11. 6:00p to 6:30p $11.50.Bbq is like religion. Have eaten there many times but decided it was time to update my review. Four of us had an early lunch there today. The pulled pork and the sausage were excellent as was the brisket.  However, the ribs were unedible and two guests could not consume one bone and neither wanted to take the leftover ribs home. I tried one rib and awful is a kind description - tough and loaded with fat. The sides were  wonderful - best fries, baked beans and collard greens anywhere.  I would make the trip just for the fries. The sauces are all good. service is fast and friendly but this place is missing a large market. Seniors cannot carry tray down steps alone. If the staff would deliver the food to the tables after customers place their orders at the counter, their business would improve.  The floors are uneven and hard to navigate with nothing in one's hands much less a tray full of food. Go for everything but the ribs - yuck! Everything else is delicious and well prepared.  This is a no frills kitschy casual place but the food is excellent..all but the fatty tasteless meatless ribs.  Baby back are our favorite but there were just fatty spareribs. This is the best barbecue place we have found in this area! It is almost a fast food restaurant. The portions are large. My husband loved the half rack of ribs with beans. I had Big Al's Frito Pie, an interesting concoction of pulled pork and several other things. Warning, it is huge. I took half home.The cornbread is really corn cake and too sweet for my taste.
