PIANO LESSONS REMOTE

Our son is doing great. He loves taking piano lessons with Norm. Our son started lessons less than two years ago. He hit it off right away with his teacher. He is doing terrific and he’s progressing well. They work on lots of fun songs, Star Wars, Lion King, Ode To Joy, Minuet, and more. He likes to play classical and popular pieces. He’s also learning all about theory and how to write his own music. Obviously, he is really excited about this.

Norm has an excellent understanding of our child and what he needs to be successful. He makes each lesson an adventure in learning. Our piano teacher, Norm, is so patient. He gives our daughter lots of fun music to play. She always leaves her lessons full of energy and excited about getting a new piece and learning new skills. I am really happy with her lessons. He is very good at encouraging her, and she really responds to that.

My daughter has been doing lessons for only 10 months, but I am so impressed with her progress. She plays lots of fun music, classical, pop, and fun kid's music. She so enthusiastic about playing keyboard. She loves it even more than sports!

I’ve been doing piano lessons with Norm almost 4 years. I have learned so much in that time. The lessons move at a pace that I really like. Not too fast, yet challenging enough for me. I love playing piano. It relaxes me and gives me a time out from the rest of the world.

I look forward to the lesson every week, cause I know I am going to learn new things. I play whenever I can. I'm thrilled that I started when I did, because I now have years of practice giving me a boost when start new pieces.

Both my son and I are taking lessons with Norm. He’s a super teacher, and very skilled in communication. I love how the lessons function as a confidence booster for me and my son. What a treat for me to to see him so excited about his accomplishments.

Norm is a really patient teacher and makes the lessons fun and inspiring. We interviewed several teachers and found him to be the best teacher for us. For about two years, my daughter and I have taken piano lessons with him.

We get to progress at a great that is comfortable to us, never rushed. He takes the time to explain things really well, and is very encouraging to us.

I have an 88 note keyboard. I find it relaxing to play, and find time just about every day, even for a short time. I've always liked music but never thought I would be able to create it myself. I’t a challenge, but the rewards are worth it. I wish I had started when I was younger, but my focus now is letting the process unfold and enjoying it all.

I am a senior adult beginner and have been taking remote lessons with Norm Zara for 3 months. I had considered lessons using some of the multiple piano teaching apps online, but felt I needed a more one on one approach to develop correct basic practices, and I am very happy that I did. Norms lessons have introduced me to music theory, history, and musical genres I had not considered. He has made the process fun but still very challenging with a personalized approach, and effective remotely.

Super piano lessons, great music. These are the perfect piano lessons for me, interesting and inspiring. I am learning lots of great music. Piano lessons don’t have to be so serious and structured that make lessons dry and boring. I really like our lessons. Norm’s so patient with me, has a great sense of humor, and takes time to explain things to me. No question is ever too silly to ask. Great piano lessons. Norm is terrific. He’s very patient with me, and lessons are stress free and fun. He's very professional and skilled at matching each lesson to where I am with my progress. I started lessons as an adult beginner 2 years ago. Learning piano has been a joy. I am progressing much faster than expected, and am already playing Enya, Beethoven, Billy Joel, all sorts of great music.

I started playing Piano with Norm in April of 2019.
Before this I had been trying to teach myself for years, literally years. My skill set just did not seem to improve.
Fast forward to now.
After enjoying a dedicated hour lesson with Norm once a week- I can play!!
Not only has he taught me how to read music, but to understand the importance of the rhythm & beats; we have moved on to playing by ear, playing improv blues (way cool!!), he allows me to be festive and 'tap out' of what we're working on to play holiday music every fall.
He is incredible to say the least! I would love to connect a USB and transfer his knowledge. I'd call him a musical genius.
If Norm was not enjoyable to work with, I would not still be playing with him almost 2yrs later, and I do not plan on going anywhere until he retires on me.

Norm is great with our 11 year old. Remote learning is a challenge and Norm has been wonderful in allowing and making space for conversation and learning, while focusing on the music and pushing forwards skills during this challenging year.

Norm is a fantastic teacher. He has the patience of a monk. Especially grateful for his ability to sit through weekly half hour lessons with my son (9) who hasn't sat still since birth.
