Phocus did a great job on my headshot. This isn't as easy to do as it looks but Kim was patient and persistent and gave great advice. The end result was fantastic.

My husband and I both needed professional headshots for work, and Kim was absolutely wonderful to work with! We had a discussion in advance about what we wanted the pictures for, and a little bit about our personalities so she could start thinking about what type of pictures we might want. She suggested a location and...it was perfect. Our pictures are A-MAZING! There is a big difference between taking a selfie and having a pro headshot, and it is SO worth it. What do you love most about your job?
Bringing out the best in my clients and seeing their expressions during their reveal session! I always come with a plan, but also love the thrill of coming up with a winning concept in the moment. I also like watching the transition from clients being a little on edge at first about their session to becoming relaxed and engaged.
What inspired you to start your own business?
The need for more control and variety in my life. I no longer wanted to plan around 60+ hour work weeks which robbed me of dreaming and creativity. Never stop dreaming, and find a way to pursue them! Being a business owner is not for everyone- it's certainly not easy - but find the right path for you to live a fulfilled life. When you leave this earth, what will the “dash” represent? Why should our clients choose you?
I am a certified Human Resources professional (PHR) turned Photographer, so the business side of things - including ethics and the utmost professionalism - is very important to me. I work by contract so that all details are clear on both sides. Delivering excellent service is always my goal, something I was trained to do in my long-term career in Fortune 100/500 organizations. I'm unique in that I am both analytical and creative. Add FUN on top of that making for a great experience for my clients!
