Michelle and her team are nothing short of amazing. They keep it interesting with ever changing workouts. It feels like a personal training session even when you are in a class with others. They are attentive to every client's individual needs and always mention alternatives if you have issues with balance, back, knees, etc. As we go through each set of exercises they keep a close eye to make sure each person is doing the movement correctly, in a safe yet challenging way. Each participant is focused on her/his own workout, yet there is a great feeling of camaraderie and encouragement. You don't feel as though you are competing with the person who is stronger/fitter/leaner - rather you applaud their accomplishments and your own. It is really a unique environment. Having just moved back to Mainline 4 months ago, I had searched everywhere for the perfect training gym. I feel so incredibly lucky to have found Performance Fitness just minutes from my home. Michelle, the owner is an amazing trainer who is highly dedicated and motivated to give her clients the best possible plan and workouts for all their needs. She is well balanced in both her approach to fitness and nutrition and focuses on living a healthy lifestyle versus weight loss and sizes. The trainers at the gym are equally as dedicated and will encourage you to constantly strive harder to increase strength and fitness level. Performance Fitness is awesome and has been a saving grace for me! I just had a baby a year ago and the classes/schedule are perfect and I am almost already back to my pre-baby shape! I love that I can just walk in, set my personal items down, and be ready for class and there is no extra time spent like at other gyms by checking in, putting stuff in lockers, trying to figure out what to do or what equipment to use, etc. so it saves a lot of time and effort for a new mom like me! The trainers are the best and the classes are the perfect size. The classes are great for all fitness levels and the trainers are very insightful when it comes to what weights to use for my fitness level (Brett, thanks for all your assistance with this!). Not only that, but the trainers also assist in monitoring one's progress by doing monthly check-ins in which one gets weighed, BMI Tested, body pictures taken at different angles, measurements, daily food/calorie intake discussed, etc. What gym helps you do that?! The monthly check-in sure helps a person keep to one's goals and we set them from the get-go. I've been working with Michelle Collier for over 10 years. Michelle and her staff at Performance Fitness are professional and supportive regardless of your level of fitness. They create alternative exercises to address whatever issues you may have (eg back, poor knees, etc.) so that you get the exercise appropriate for your needs. I attend kettlebell classes on Tuesday nights with a great group of primarily women that range in age from 30-70 yrs old. We have fun while working hard! More...

If you are at a cross roads in your training and need some professional help to reach your goals this truly is the place. Michelle, the owner, is truly focused on each individual person and making sure that you are getting everything out of your membership . She will make sure to know what your goals are when going the gym and provide you with all the tools and resources to make them happen. The coaching staff is phenomenal! They are all knowledgeable about the exercises being performed in the gym. Therefore, they are always able to provide modifications to movements to make sure that everyone is getting the same work as the next person, but at the ability of your body. staff makes sure that there are enough options for people at all different points in their fitness journey. You can be certain that you will immediately gain new friends that will help motivate you to come to classes and push you to be better than you ever thought possible. I'm 62 years young and I was losing my strength and balance. I've been working with the very talented and skilled folks at Performance Fitness for almost a year. I've lost and maintained a loss of 20+ pounds! I can do push-ups when I NEVER could before. I am so much stronger. My core is strong so my back doesn't hurt... and many more benefits. Michelle has been my personal trainer for over 2 years. Originally, I'd only planned to do this for 3 months but quickly became 'addicted' to the sessions. I've never had two sessions that are the same and after each I feel terrific and full of energy. I have added Boot Camp, TRX Boot Camp and Kettlebells to my routine.
