This place will knock your socks off. One of the best sandwiches I have ever had. The chicken and bacon is incredible and the porchetta is mind blowing. Everything is made from scratch. Highly recommend. More...

When you're in the mood for a sandwich that you know will probably shorten your lifespan by a few minutes but it's so delicious is worth it, head here and get the porchetta. You won't be disappointed.

Got the Porchetta sandwich, and it was pretty freaking tasty. They've been at that location for 5 years and rotate the menu quarterly, but the Porchetta sandwich has always stayed. Service takes a bit longer, because they prepare all orders from scratch.Staff was very friendly and did not hesitate to answer any questions I had. There's not a whole lot of seating inside. They also have soups and broths that you can take home and cook with or eat. More...

Come here for absolutely delicious sandwiches, with well-considered ingredients. The porchetta is perfection. Great options for vegetarians, too. I highly recommend Pennypacker's.

Pork fat rules!! I was lucky enough to be first in line at the truck today. It has been on my list for a long time. I just happened to be on a mission in Boston and voila there in the distance like a mirage I see the Pennypacker's truck. Let me tell you I was not disappointed at all. Lemonade and a sandwich with crispy tender juicy delicious pork soothed my soul. Go get you some!!! More...

One of the best sandwiches in Somerville, if not all of Boston. Definitely recommend the pork sandwich for first timers.

I love this spot and wish it was open more than just Thursdays and Fridays! My coworkers and I go here almost every Thursday since someone discovered it earlier this year. I've tried tons of options and really enjoyed them all. The menu changes during the season according to what's available, which is nice because the menu is relatively small (like a food truck!). I'm not much of a pork or beef eater, but the other options are always on point--highlights for me include the caprese sandwich (summer), the stonefruit salad (summer with humbolt fog cheese, yum), and I'm loving the maple roasted squash sandwich right now. People seem to love their porchetta and lamb meatloaf sandwiches, too, and I can't wait to try the cauliflower sandwich and the duck confit sandwich sometime soon. Also: I really like the fried potatoes but have only had them once because it was a special treat :) They have flavored san pelligrinos, sodas, and cape cod chips. They sometimes post the menu on facebook, and we call to order so it's ready when we get there to pick up--it's not quick if you order at the counter so when in a rush we plan ahead. More...

Delicious, massive sandwiches made with wonderfully fresh ingredients that change according to season.
The sandwiches usually feel as though they're missing the final kick that would make them perfect, hence five stars.
(If you're reading this, chef, please don't be so afraid of acidity - a little tang to the slaw on the pastrami would be amazing).
