I regularly make the mistake of getting whatever special PDX Sliders has. I always have serious FOMO because usually I replace my go to Tilikum with the special. Bye bye Little Big Burger! Hello PDX Sliders! I got to visit this newly discovered gem of a burger spot with my friend and we were both impressed with our burgers, truffle fries, service, price, and sunlit ambiance (we sat upstairs next to a window). We each got the Sellwood and Hawthorne sliders and shared an order of truffle fries and it was the perfect amount of food for us. Loved the sweet and savory/salty combination from our choice of burgers and the crispy truffle fries with ketchup. I personally liked adding ketchup to the Sellwood and thoroughly enjoyed the Hawthorne as is. Everything was full of texture and flavor and so yummy! Great little slider and burger joint! The sliders are small but satisfying! They always have a special and beer on tap.The loaded fries are PLENTY for two. I had the loaded Broadway fries with braised pork and Mama Lil's peppers. More than I could consume. Maybe that's because I had three sliders too! The Morrison, with a breast that couldn't fur the bun, the Hawthorne with bacon, goat cheese and strawberry preserves and the Fremont with roasted jalapeno. These burgers are top notch. The plain fries are the perfect amount of crisp with just the right amount of seasoning. You don't feel like you're lost in a salt desert, but it's just enough flavor to hit you right in the feels. The philly steak fries and other meat fries were definitely on the heavy side, although we did order three varieties of fries plus burgers for 5 people which was 100% excessive. Our first time here and we were pleasantly surprised. My Hawthorne slider was delicious and the green salad the perfect accompaniment. My hubby tried the Division Philly and loved it! I finally made it out here to see what all the fuss is about, and I must say they did not disappoint! Amazing food, super fresh & tasty. Oh my goodness, boy do I love this place. Came here just after three days after my official move to Sellwood, at meetinghouse apartments nearby, and boy do the hamburgers taste good. Just got a burger slider, along with a mini fried chicken sandwich, and boy both of them taste very good. And for 11 bucks, that is a steal. The food is definitely the star here... the burgers are well-crafted and available in both slider and full size, which can be a real plus depending on your appetite. The PDX fries (with truffle salt and fresh parsley) were uniquely tasty on their own, and I will certainly recommend the Sellwood slider/burger... the biggest issue you might have is the limited parking available nearby. The best place in town for Sliders! I love how you can order two different sliders and fries and that's a good meal. The sliders give you a chance to taste multiple choices rather than just one kind. But yes of course you can go with a regular size order too. By far the Tillamook chicken is the best for me also the loaded Burlington fries really are delicious. If you haven't tried this place... I'm sorry for your loss! I usually buy two sliders and go back and forth between the two sliders my favorite slider here is the tilikum and burlington. On occasion they have specials. The last one was called a spicy Thai or kimchi With these peppers. Omg it was sensational l! They always have these amazing flavors and when I see a pic, I've gotta have it. My go to though is the tillikum. I get the slider because it's smaller but the chicken in the slider is massive. The chicken is perfectly fried and has a great crunch. Then the sauce and the cole slaw hits you and it all just melts together with a soft yet crunchy bun. Aawwwww! Then I move on to the pulled pork burlington slider. The pork melts in your mouth and the sweet sauce is beyond tasty. Wish I could buy it. I seriously look like a little piglet while eating here. Easy no frills sando joint. The counter service and busy vibe might be intimidating for those not accustomed to that kind of flow.
