What makes a great website?
Every website is different. There are a few key features though. A great website needs to be optimized for mobile devices. It needs to perform well on search engines. The design needs to be attractive. The content should communicate the unique value of the business, and make it easy to purchase their products or services. The navigation and site structure should be intuitive and easy-to-follow as well.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
I have a whole bunch! Some of the most important are:
1. Tell me about your business.
2. Do you currently have a website?
3. Why do you want a new website?
4. What would your ideal website look like?
5. Can you give me 2-3 examples of sites you like in your industry?
6. What's your timeline look like?
7. Do you have any set branding? Logo, colors, fonts, etc?
And a couple dozen more!
Describe your creative process.
Typically, it goes like this:
1. We discuss your project.
2. I put together a proposal and get your sign-off.
3. I ask for half the payment upfront, and half when the site goes live.
4. I put together a design mockup of the homepage so we can get agreement on a general feel and look.
5. I build the actual site for you.
6. We go through a couple of rounds of revisions to get everything 100% dialed in.
7. I optimize the site for search.
8. We take the site live!
9. I submit the site to search engines and set up Google Analytics.
10. I send the final invoice.
11. I'm available at your convenience for any additional work on the site.
What information do you need from a client before you can start work?
We need to discuss the project over the phone, and then I'll have you fill out a short form that gives me a lot of the info I need.
Basically, I need the site structure (what pages does the site need?), the design direction (what should it looks like?), and the content (what words and images should be on the pages?).
What do you love most about your job?
I get to be creative, and my creativity helps people! It's beautiful to see websites I create start bringing in customers and sales for my clients. It's an absolute joy to watch my clients' businesses grow and see the difference I made in their business and financial life by creating a compelling website for them that works for them while they sleep.
What inspired you to start your own business?
During and after college, I worked in the technology industry. Although I enjoyed tech, I didn't enjoy having a boss or showing up to an office too much. I also wanted to use my creativity more. After a contract position ended, it seemed like a good time to start my own studio. I had already been learning web design for a while as a hobby. I took the plunge in 2018 and haven't looked back!

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I no longer take in-person meetings - everything is done over Zoom and phone. This way, my clients never have to risk any exposure in public places to get their website built.
Website Design
I design fast, beautiful websites that rank well on search and convert your visitors to customers.
Your website is the salesperson your customers meet before they ever meet you. What message is it sending? A fast, professional, and attractive website tells visitors you're a company worth doing business with. A slow and ugly website tells visitors you don't care about your company or your service. Your customers won't settle for a bad website and neither should you.
Search Engine Optimization
I don't just build your website. I help it rank well on search engines too. If you're not on the first page of Google you don't exist. Search engine optimization is not a piece of your digital marketing strategy you can afford to ignore.
SEO, or search engine optimization, is a complex term for a simple idea. SEO is the practice of optimizing your website and digital presence for search engines with the purpose of ranking as highly as possible for select search terms. Local SEO is doing the exact same thing for a particular place.
Pay-Per-Click Advertising
I set up kick butt paid ads to help you bring in more business ASAP. Pay-per-click advertising is a type of advertising performed on a search engine such as Google or a social media platform like Facebook. Because you're only paying when customers take an action, PPC is one of the most effective advertising campaign types available today.
