Dec 20, 2019. I took my 21 year old daughter on this tour and we both absolutely loved it!!! First we booked the tour over the phone after asking several questions and the person on the phone “Uncle Ned” was very helpful and reassuring. Neither my daughter or i have ever paddle boarded before, i am not in good shape and i was nervous . I actually called back a week later and was reassured again the staff helps you all the way if needed! The staff is so amazing and i was clearly the newbie beginner paddle boarder and i had the time of my life!!! This tour is for everyone and anyone!!! Highly recommended! So many manatees come up to you and you can enjoy them or paddle away and enjoy from a distance. They are beautiful gentle animals. The guides take photos of each paddle and they call everyone by their name and paid special attention to each paddler. I've had so many great experiences with Paddleboard Orlando. I was sooo nervous the first time I went--I thought I'd totally embarrass myself. But Uncle Ned is a great teacher and I was up and at it in no time! I've also learned a ton about Florida wildlife and ecology from paddling with him--he's a treasure trove of knowledge. I took up paddle boarding this summer at the beach and fell in love! I've been looking for a fun group to go with and this group did NOT disappoint. My roommate is from Israel and here for the semester and had an incredible time. I'm looking forward to future events! Thanks for making us feel like we've been friends of yours forever! My husband and I spent the morning with Ned, paddle boarding Wekiva. What a beautiful area! We had an awesome morning. It was an easy paddle to the spring where we had a swim and went for a walk. The way back with the current was so relaxing. We saw alligators sunning (no reason to be nervous!), an otter, beautiful birds and lots of fish. The water is clear and so warm. This was a great experience from beginning to end. I took my two teenagers in the beginners (1 and 1/2 hour) Winter Park tour on a Saturday. We were greeted by Ned, Scott and Tom. All three were very welcoming, friendly and most importantly funny. They engaged everybody in the group, I don't think anybody felt left out. They chose the right boards for our size and resized the paddles based on our arm length. They gave us about 15 minutes of instruction which was very helpful, they helped us on the boards and away we went. I was initially concerned about my youngest but that dissipated quickly. After the first 5-10 mins we were totally comfortable with everything. The tour was the perfect speed for the group to generally stay together. The views were great. The guides continued to engage everyone throughout. During the breaks we just stopped and rested but the guides showed us some tricks we could attempt. My oldest daughter did a 180 degree turn which was impressive for her first attempt. All in all it was a great first real experience in SUP. The guides are the make or break point for it and they exceeded our expectations. I know they do these tours all the time and they even had one right after ours but they never made it seem like it was routine for them...they made the tour seem unique and fresh and lively. If you're thinking about doing this experience, you definitely should. They'll take care of you. They post plenty of pics on their Facebook page and it is very reflective of the good times people have. But get there a little early, the parking area can get filled up fast. More...

Hubby and I came out Tuesday morning for paddleboarding. Btw... the shop is the last one in the plaza away from Trader Joe's. This was my first time paddle boarding and it was not bad. Got a 3 minute crash course of the basics. They load from a dock. The guy stabilized the board while I got onto the board on my knees. After getting a feel for balance, I was able to stand. The lake is pretty with water snake, fish, blue dragonflies, and water lilies. It does get a bit warm that you want to get there first thing in the morning! More...

Our paddleboard tour exceeded our expectations! This was the first time we'd been so we were a little nervous about it, but it wasn't as difficult as we thought and it was so fun. Ned, Tom, and all the instructors are very friendly, outgoing, and knowledgeable, and made everyone feel comfortable. They take the time to make sure you're paddling properly and are very patient. Great group of guys on the day we went. They actually let us swap our paddleboard rental for a tandem kayak after our dog kept trying to swim back and forth between our boards in a panic. The location was very surprising as the lake is hidden behind all of the businesses. Once we were on the water though you almost forget you're in a big city!
