I highly recommend Dr. Celia Dominguez for Reproductive Endocrinology / Fertility Treatment. Prior to consulting with Dr. Dominguez, I have already read 6 books and have gone to Fertility Acupuncture for 8 months . I have already spent a lot of money, with no result. Needless to say, I was already frustrated and paranoid at this point. I met with Dr. Dominguez and although the first thing I did was bring a list of questions (1 page, font 12, single space), she handled it very professionally. I know other doctors who would have just brushed off my list. However, Dr. D took the time to answer every single question. She was very professional, empathetic, encouraging and direct. She discussed her plan, and we proceeded with it right away. My baby is now 2 months old. And I owe it to God & Dr. D.There are a couple of negatives:1. Sometimes there are long waits for Dr. D. I've always gotten admitted on time, but had to wait 30 min for Dr. D. 2. Triple check to make sure that Dr. D's office covers your insurance. PS: Dr. D's staff is very nice and friendly. Shantel called me on her day off on a Saturday (maybe a Sunday) to let me know of the wonderful news! I'm so happy that she shared the same excitement. Bernie is also very nice and comforting. PPS: I met a lady who told me that Dr. D is the 4th RE she consulted. Dr. D successfully helped her have her baby. This lady's baby was 3mos old when I met her. She regretted not finding Dr. D sooner. Luckily, Dr. D was the first RE for me.5 Stars, because the result far outweighs the negatives. More...

We have tried to conceive for 5 years during which we did 11 at-home ICIs and 5 IUIs at two different clinics. One of my IUIs at the Fertility Institute of Hawaii (another Honolulu clinic) resulted in an ectopic pregnancy that led to emergency surgery at midnight, where I lost one of my tubes. Since we were getting really apprehensive at this point, we decided to look for another doctor. We found Dr. Dominguez and we sure are happy to have found her! First of all, she discovered a small uterine septum, which no other doctor had previously found before (and I have seen quite a few doctors before). So she suggested to operate and remove it since this could cause a premature birth or it could have been a reason for not getting pregnant before. So she removed my septum and we did an IVF a few months later. Our IVF with Dr Dominguez was a real success! She retrieved over 20 eggs and I ended up with 19 high quality embryos. Two months later we did a frozen embryo transfer and it resulted in a pregnancy! I am now 11 weeks pregnant and we couldn't be happier! If we knew it could have been so easy we would have done IVF right away instead of going through numerous unsuccessful tries at home and in clinics. Dr. Dominguez is really different than other doctors and you will see that during the first visit with her! :) All the staff at Pacific In Vitro are very friendly too. During the egg retrieval surgery the nurse Hong came downstairs to the waiting room to say hi to my spouse and to ensure her I was in good hands. That was really a nice gesture of her. We are so happy we chose Dr. Dominguez to be our RE! The only thing we regret is we didn't go sooner. More...

I started coming to Dr. Kosasa recently after being so annoyed and fed up with the previous Fertility doctor (you can see in my other review how I felt about him! ). I was referred to Dr. Kosasa by a friend who couldn't say enough good things about him! So I thought why not check him out. Anyone is better than the previous one!I called the Institute and explained my situation. They had me call Dr. Kosasa's office to make an appointment for a consultation first. Within minutes of meeting him, I could see already that he is an easy going, sweet, KIND, and gentle demeanor about him. He asked me why I left the previous doctor, I told him exactly how I felt and what happened. AND HE KNEW EXACTLY WHO IT WAS!! Anyway, not only did he listen, he used simple drawing, words to explain to a medically incompetent person like me understand so easily what he planned on doing and how we would approach it! My husband and I were at complete ease by time we walked out of his office. I explained my insurance and my worries, my intentions, and he said, ok, we will work with you to make it happen! And you know what, he not only bent over backwards to help me with my timeline, he came in on his week off work to meet up with me and worked with me around MY SCHEDULE!  No doctor is willing to bend over backwards like that!I can't say enough good things about him and his practice. Right away, he suggested we do a Hysteroscopy! It's a minimally invasive surgery where he inserts a tiny telescope (hysteroscope) through the belly button into the uterus to check to see if there are any polyps (cysts) or endometriosis (too long to explain, you can google it but if you have painful cramps during your monthly visitor, this might be an indication that you have it!). Women over 32 all will have developed endometriosis.   Anyways, the previous doctor did NOT EVEN GIVE ME THE OPTION TO TRY Hysteroscopy or not. There was no option. It wasn't even discussed. Being incompetent in the world of child bearing, I wouldn't have known otherwise. Anyways, I do what Dr. Kosasa suggested. He also advised that Xrays, scans, MRI's would never catch this. You would need to specifically get a camera to go in to only see it. Low and behold, not only did I have a ton of endometriosis, I had a polyp bigger than a golf ball! YES A GOLFBALL!!! Imagine this, it's half the size of your uterus. So how does it help with implantation, or child bearing? IT DOESN'T! You have to get rid of it to even get any sort of chance! Remember, the previous one didn't even bring this up! Anyways, I'm now in day 3 of the IVF process, but Dr. Kosasa and his staff are amazing. I especially love Hong and Erin the nurses whom I've been working with when I don't go talk to Dr. Kosasa.  The shots have been painful, I'm not gonna lie, I'm a baby when it comes to needles, but everything is running like clockwork so far. And there have been times, I come in and it's a packed room, and days where I'm the only one in the waiting room, but I don't care. I'm so thankful I finally found a wonderful doctor that I can trust, a few minutes extra of waiting isn't an issue at all for me!Stay tuned, I just can't say enough good things about him. And after finding out that Dr. Kosasa does most of this because he's loves his work, seeing people achieve their dreams, and I know he has probably donated more money than he has made doing this....THAT SAYS A LOT ABOUT HIS CHARACTER AND HOW MUCH HE LOVES DOING THIS FOR THE PASSION AND HELPING PEOPLE that makes me even more thankful that I found such a wonderful doctor to guide me on this journey!Did I mention they are open 7 days a week? How convenient is that?PS. They made an appointment for me this Sunday. He's off. But he told the nurse, it's ok, I'll come in on Sunday to see her. HOW AMAZING IS THAT I love my doctor! I wish he could me my doctor for EVERYTHING!Do a consultation with him, and you will understand exactly what I mean. Thank you Dr. Kosasa, I can't say enough good things about you and your staff! I actually keep meaning to update my review for pacific in vitro bc actually the long wait was the ONLY problem I had... but at the time, I was so frustrated w not having a baby (we started going after a year and a half of trying) that everything bugged me. The efforts of the doctor we went to really helped....and this January I just gave birth to a bouncing baby girl! So, yes, i'd try them for sure if I was you! More...
