Working with JR Trujillo has been amazing! My partner and I have trained with him for the last six months and we have seen outstanding results! ! In addition to visual improvements, we've had measurable gains in strength, cardio, and endurance.

Our initial goals were to lose weight, build lean mass/endurance and improve posture and flexibility, and each session has been tailored to help us achieve those goals. JR is also extremely knowledgable about sustainable nutrition, and we've learned so much about how to build a healthier lifestyle.

As other reviews have noted, JR will push you hard, but he does it with such positivity that every session is a total blast! Working with JR has made me realize I'm able to do things I never thought possible, and I've been able to make changes my life that I never thought feasible before our sessions.

Overall, I can't say enough good things about JR. If you're looking for health coach/personal trainer, JR will change your life!

JR has an amazing combination of knowledge, extensive experience, and most importantly, passion.  He’s a positive and encouraging trainer and fun to work with.   His workouts are extremely varied and he knows seemingly an infinite number of workouts/progressions, tailored to your body.

From the first session where he does a quantitative and qualitative physical assessment, to planning out your next few months and setting quantitative goals, to making each workout dynamic and engaging, to providing holistic knowledge of food and workout routines - it’s been a real pleasure over the past few months working with him and learning a ton.  You'll never find yourself just going through the motions.

If you put in the work and follow the plan (diet/workout), then you’re definitely going to get results within weeks!  Aside from actually noticeable visual improvements and measurable gains in strength and cardio, the most important thing is that each workout is a lot of fun and customized to your needs.  Group fitness classes are great, but it doesn't match up to the personal attention and drive you'll get working with JR. It’s a real game-changer and I look forward to continuing the fitness adventure with JR.

Highly recommend him and so glad that we found out about him!

I trained with JR for quite some time and it's not an exaggeration to say he saved my life. When I went to him, I was overweight, inflexible and my doctor was about to put me on blood pressure medicine. After a few months with him, I was in the best shape I'd been since high school. JR will push you hard, but he does it with such good spirits that you can't get mad (or at least too mad.) In short, I can't recommend JR highly enough. He's one of the best out there. More...

I trained with JR for about 3 months mostly working on strengthening and gaining mobility for the right side of my upper body as it's very weak compared to my dominant left side due to a childhood injury. JR was not only extremely knowledgeable, but was very encouraging and supportive. He designed challenging yet fun workouts every session. Now, I have almost perfect mobility and have gained more than 3 times the strength than when I first started. JR is also a stickler for form, which I really like because I think that's the most essential part of every workout. Not only is he there with you every step of the way, but he teaches you so that you are able to use these tools on your own. I highly recommend JR, and I cannot say enough good things about him. Jr is a fantastic trainer!  I've been working with him for about 6 months now and can't say enough good things about him. I decided to start working out and felt I needed a little coaching to make sure my form was right . Not only does he know his stuff, he keeps me motivated. I never feel bored of the exercises and he always explains why and how they're great to add to my weekly regiment.  I decided to write this review because I was truly impressed with his session this week. I have been suffering from a pinched nerve in my neck and was a bit worried about working out. He knew exactly what exercises to do to not aggravate my injury but kept me pushing.  I know I'm going to feel it in the morning! If you're looking for a caring, knowledgeable trainer that loves what he does, then make sure you look him up. Just don't take my day bc I will fight you for it. More...

Every physician loves to tell us - "eat less, exercise more". Really Consider my mind blown by this super secret squirrel nugget of wisdom! Ladies, in reality, getting to the gym and working out on a regular basis is no easy feat. I enjoy physical activity, but I will also find a billion excuses why I just couldn't make it in today. This is where a great personal trainer comes into the picture!I have trained with Jr on and off for nearly 4 years now. This guy holds some solid certifications such as ACSM and Crossfit Level 1. He also studied to become a personal trainer not by reading a book (which is how many trainers get certified), but by actually going to school (National Personal Training Institute) for over 6 months. Working out with Jr, you will never catch him looking at his phone, or at other clients, or chatting with his gym buddies - all attention is focused on YOU! This is a very important detail in my book. He is respectful, knowledgeable and really fun! After your initial fitness assessment, he will identify your level of intensity and areas of weakness to focus on. Jr does a great job of keeping things interesting and constantly varying our workouts: from strength training to CrossFit style circuits, to summer boot camps on Green Lake, there is no room for workout boredom, ever. Even though I love my Crossfit gym, I still work with Jr when I am looking for personal attention or just need to spice up my workout routine. If you are looking for a  trainer who can keep you motivated and challenged (no matter your fitness level), you should work with JR.  I have been training with him for many months and he is CONSTANTLY introducing creative & new workouts.  I love that my session/skills are fresh--never redundant .  I cannot say enough good things about JR!  He is super friendly, perceptive, knowledgeable and of course motivating. I am very hard on myself and he pushes me as hard as I desire. However, I do notice that he adapts and accommodates his "motivation/push" level accordingly when working with clients with variable personalities and needs. I help my clients achieve their goals by keeping them accountable. We have an agreement that we will stay consistent and on time with our session/package plan. We start out by forecasting the timeline it will take to reach their goal and we stick to it! Most people know what to do to attain their goals in regards to the meal plan and exercise, but need a little guidance to get it done. That is where I will be there for you. We will track your progress and results on a consistent basis.

The big secret is something that most people already know. Consistency! With the meal plan and your exercise routine. Especially your body composition results. They are 100% based on nutrition with exercise induced results.

I still to this very day get goosebumps when my clients pass their mark on their results. I love sharing in their excitement when we hit their goal and make plans for their new set of goals.

My clients are the ones who inspires me to start my own business. Most were busy professionals who had asked if I could could come to them, making it easier to stay consistent around work and family time. More amd more clients started to take advantage of the convenience of a mobile trainer coming to them. That is how it all started.
