Seemingly every Monday morning for the past several decades, I woke and laid in bed telling myself, “Today is the day I start getting healthy! ”. If I was lucky this plan would last until lunch and then quickly disappear beneath a big cheeseburger, fries, diet soda and a cookie (or two…or three…). On rare occasions I would even be able to actually lose 10 lbs. by starving myself for a week or two, but that same weight would always quickly find its way home to my midsection. After finally realizing this endless cycle of wishful thinking had to change and that I needed help, I met with Adrienne of One Bite Wellness. Thanks to her ability to help me reframe my views and greatly increase my knowledge of diet and nutrition, my weight is now down 27 lbs. (and counting!), my A1C is in the normal range for the first time in 10 years, and I’m no longer a slave to junk food. While the fast food industry is not at all happy with these developments, I’m feeling truly better than ever in most every aspect of my life. These days I wake on Monday mornings and think how grateful I am for vastly improved health! Having the knowledge that this isn't just another short-lived fad diet of some sort, I still can't stop smiling when I see my feet on the scale! More...

It was a little over a year ago that my wife and I first met Adrienne to talk about a new diet after I was diagnosed with celiac disease. Even when we moved, we were glad to keep sessions going via phone and/or Skype. Over the last year, I have gained 20 lbs (back to my normal weight before celiac), I feel great, and I don't think I've ate healthier in my life!
