I found out about SOBA at the Detox center where I was admitted, it was the best and greatest thing that ever happened to me in my addiction recovery. This program SAVED my life, from clinicians to case managers and housing staffs. These people really care about your recovery, never seen nothing like this center. I truly & highly recommend this program, you definitely won’t regret it. Thank you Soba for playing a big part of my life! More...

Soba college recovery helped make recovery possible for me and for anyone based on the specific needs and goals of each client. I was able to thrive in school and get sober in a nurturing environment. The staff are all incredible role models. Bob, Michelle, other supervisors, and the clinical staff all work together to help each person feel heard, supported, and motivated. I felt welcomed right from the start. I have grown more in the past few months at Soba than any other treatment I’ve attended. I am forever grateful for the opportunity to start a new way of life in such a loving community. The sober living and therapeutic care are both excellent resources that created the ideal environment for me to succeed. I have lasting connections with the people I got to know during my stay at Soba. I can not say enough about this program! More...

Soba may not be the first rehab I have ever been to, but it is the first rehab that didn’t give up on me. Professionals from therapists to case managers on the clinical end to techs and supervisors at housing have helped mold me into a person I am today. Unlike other rehabs, you do not have to put your life on pause to enter treatment. Instead you are guided to begin building your life back up while attending treatment simultaneously. Thought treatment I was I was able to work 30 hours a week while attending groups, attending 12 step meetings, and taking part in the recreational activities SOBA offers on the weekends. My case manager, Josh worked tirelessly to get me back into the school I was kicked out of. Housing technicians and supervisors like Bob and Michele work around the clock to make everyone feel safe and respected. Therapists strive to build genuine rapport with you, and offer treatment tailored to your specific needs whether the be trauma, mental health, or substance abuse. Overall, when I entered treatment I was jobless, kicked out of school, and estranged from my parents. Today at 7 months clean, I am back in school, living my own apartment, back at the job I had lost due to addiction, and have my parents back in my life. I couldn’t be more grateful for Soba. More...

Soba College Recovery is and was the best place for my to start my recovery process. I came into Soba not knowing what a recovery program was like, since it was my first time ever going to one. When I came in I was overwhelmed with a sense of a strong sense of community that was open to anyone that was coming into the program. I learned quickly the keys to completing this program successfully and maintaining sobriety through the help of the staff that have amazing insight on how to live life without the use of drugs or alcohol. This program has helped me to get on my feet and learn important life skills that I was unable to learn when I was in active addiction, through the group therapy sessions and experiencing life without the use of drugs. The therapy and the housing technicians has gotten me to the place where I’m at today. I’m forever grateful for this program and the experiences I can take away from being here. More...

SOBA College Recovery does wonderful work. Over the past four years I have seen countless young adults change their lives. They've learned how to live life without the use of drugs, manage any mental illness they've been struggling with and become productive members of society. The eclectic approach taken at SOBA is unparalleled to anything I've seen before. Being in long-term recovery myself and having been to many treatment centers before I got clean in 2012, I can honestly say that SOBA is the kind of program I wish I could have attended. Here they treat more than the symptom of the drug use. They treat the person; and, I have seen that the results are beyond amazing for everyone that gives this program an honest shot. More...

Soba was my first rehab/inpatient treatment center and I’m so grateful that it was. Not only did they introduce me to Narcotics Anonymous to stop urges to use, but they addressed behaviors that affected my life negatively, which most likely lead to my use. This program changed my life completely. I am so beyond grateful I had the chance to be a client at Soba College Recovery. I am now coming up on one year clean and I don't think i could've done it without the help of this program and the staff who have helped me SO much. I have always had a hard time opening up and getting honest with past therapist but Kelly is amazing and has helped me tremendously. I look forward every week getting to sit for an hour and just talk, I'm so lucky to have her. As for housing staff, Bob has become one of my biggest supporters. He takes such pride into his job and will go above and beyond for every single client to walk into Soba. Sonya is absolutely amazing she runs all of housing and she as well takes so much pride into her job, she is awesome. Lastly, Rachel and Derya are two of the sweetest, kind hearted women I have ever met. All of these people have helped me more than I think they realize. All of the staff at College Recovery are simply amazing. But the five I have mentioned have really made a difference in my life over the past year. They have helped me grow into a person that I actually like being. I would 10/10 recommend this place to anyone suffering from addiction or who has a loved one looking into a treatment center. Soba has helped me in more ways than I could’ve ever imagined. I was able to do well in treatments in the past, but the unique thing about Soba is the smooth progression from treatment to real life. While at Soba, I was able to find a job, finish school, and create a plan for myself for the future, while being held accountable and working a 12 step program. The staff is very kind, always there whenever you need them, and always willing to help or lend advice. This is the best and most realistic approach to recovery of any treatment program I have seen. I credit SOBA with saving my son’s life, literally. He had been addicted to opiates for a decade, and was suicidal and had already tried ten rehab attempts elsewhere when he finally found his way to SOBA. He was given a safe and welcome place for up to a year while he recovered. I had many opportunities to meet with his counselor and case manager, so I felt very involved in his recovery process. They taught him not only how to recover, but how to THRIVE - manage a job, an apartment, meetings, friendships, transportation . . . All of it and to be HAPPY at the same time. He is so proud to have accomplished what he did under SOBA’s wings, and I have slept in peace for a year now knowing he is safe and feeling healthy. Thank you, SOBA. This program saved my life. Before SOBA I couldn’t string together more than 60 days. I’ve been in and out of treatment centers all over the east coast since I was 19 and I’ve never experienced anything as professional and legitimate as College Recovery. The clinical staff as well as housing staff are unparalleled to any treatment center I’ve ever been in. These people actually care. I’ve met some of the most genuine and altruistic clinicians and staff alike during my time at SOBA. They helped integrate me back into the society I was so woefully ill-equipped to live in without the use of a substance. I would recommend this program to any and all that are struggling with drug/alcohol addiction. In my 26 years of life, I have been using for close to half of that time. With the help of SOBA I have achieved more clean time than I ever thought possible. They taught me how to live again. They push us to work the 12 Steps and offer us in-house meetings once a week. There is one Supervisor who is pushed me on this path, his name is Bob. Working for SOBA College Recovery has been an absolute delight. I have been able to excel in many areas I did not think possible for myself. The other staff here at College Recovery made this possible for me. My co-workers spend ample time building each other up and working as a team; setting beautiful examples for our clients here. To be able to help others in recovery find a new way of life is an opportunity that I am very thankful for.

Our model is so much different than most current programs in this area. I see these young individuals actually grow into active members of society with the help of all of our clinical and housing staff. Whether it may be making their first resume or getting back into college (or going for the first time), talking with estranged family or regaining custody of their children, handling legal issues, finding new hobbies or career paths and simply stating clean in the process... All of these experiences can be difficult for someone young in recovery. We help these moments go as smoothly and as positively as possible. We see miracles happen first hand every day!

Although I left college recovery because of a relapse, I truly believe CR helped me tremendously. They do not give up on their clients if they relapse. I worked as a housing technician/ recovery coach for SOBA College Recovery for exactly 1 year.

Before working at College Recovery, I was lost and had no direction in my life. I knew I excelled in my interactions with my people in recovery (because I am in recovery myself), but I didn't know how to funnel my energies in a positive and meaningful way.

Once I was hired, I immediately knew that College Recovery was different from the other facilities I've experienced.

The actually facilities are state of the art, they have luxury housing, a high end clinical facilities, a full time chef and a full time personal trainer.

Most importantly, however, all of the staff is like a family. They created an atmosphere for healing, growth, and compassion. This is turn, helps the clients grow into a productive, responsible, caring members of society.

I would recommend this organization to anyone seeking treatment and I suspect their model of a holistic treatment approach to be the new age of addiction care in the 21st century.

Working at College Recovery gave me a chance to really build the foundation for my own recovery. It's a win-win. I helped the clients in their recovery and they helped me in mine.

Amazing too see colleges step up and give young people in recovery a fighting chance wile there in the belly of the beast trying to start or rebuild their lives. Addiction is misconceived in schools everywhere because it is socially accepted by most and is not viewed as a problem but viewed as a good time because everyone is doing it. Everyone wants to fit and be accepted so bad by their peers that they will do absolutely anything for acceptance and to be noticed. Its amazing to see a top school take notice of their addiction problems in their area and allow their people to have a place to go that's a safe and healthy environment! More...
