Q&As

Einstein stated, "One cannot resolve problems with the same thinking that created them."

I believe this to be true. I have been through my own therapeutic experiences. I understand it can be difficult to ask for assistance.

Autonomy: I choose who I work with.
Practicality: Employers are intimidated by my education, training, and experience(s) bridging two worlds. Clients find it beneficial.

The Systemic Nexus: Mental Health and Law. I am one of a handful of professionals with licenses in both and practice in both.

At this time I prefer to providing services remotely.

I changed my entire practice to Telehealth. Once things calm a bit I will re-establish office appointments.

Services

Supportive or insight oriented: A therapeutic relationship is best served when the client and therapist have an intersubjectivity or working relationship based on trust and lack of judgment.

Most times I find my clients have a strong need to feel heard and understood. This can occur in many ways. We just need to find that pathway and then we can walk it together...

When two or more persons work collaboratively to find a solution it is best for everyone. No one wants to feel forced into something by a Court of Law. I can share this with you as a clinician that has counseled clients through both litigation and collaborative processes.

I received my Parent Coordination training in 2016. With licenses in both mental health and law I am able to assist clients with both the mental health and legal aspects of decision-making processes.

There are certainly aspect of every case the bridge mental health and law. I can assist divorcing, divorced, and post-litigation couples with those one time changes to Family Court Judgments that encourage collaboration and give and take processes.

For over a decade I have treated drug and alcohol abuse issues with a combination of approaches to meet my client's specific needs.

As a Clinical Social Worker trained in forensics and family law I am able to counsel and consult with clients during this traumatic life transition.

Divorce and custody litigation are more easily tolerated with some one who understands both the mental health and legal aspects of your case.
