Went here on a whim and so glad that I did. We had the palak paneer, chicken tikka masala and a platter of various appetizers. It was fantastic. The chicken tikka masala is some of the best I have ever had. The rice was outstanding. The portion sizes are a little small or maybe I'm just a pig. Prices were pretty standard. We ended with the mango ice cream and oh boy was that crazy delicious!! Highly recommend. Oh and I almost forgot the onion chutney!! I want a big vat of that so I can eat all my food with it. This was our first time eating at an Indian restaurant and this place was recommended by my coworker. i must say... I am now a fan! Lol. Everything was flavored to perfection! We also ordered the chicken samosas for the appetizer and they were so good with the sauces. The portions seemed small at first but they were very filling. I will definitely be coming back here soon! Took my 2 picky kids here and they absolutely enjoyed it. Everything we had was so delicious and very tasteful. The red onion sauce paired well with basically all the food. The Servings look small but it actually was enough for the four of us. This was by far the best Indian food I've had. Definitely will be visiting again soon; Need more chicken samosa!!  Yummy!!! Great curry shop! There was a big selection on the lunch menu and even MORE on the dinner one. $8.99 for a lunch entree, rice, naan, soup, and dessert? You can't beat that deal! Now for the things I judge each Indian restaurant by.Atmosphere: classic decoration, traditional music, and clean dining area. Regular news on TV though.Service/water: great information from the staff. They know their food and will help you out. They give you a pitcher of water and keep it filled as you use it. So appreciated!Dinnerware: napkins are paper, but heavy duty like cloth. They give everyone their own plate, serve the rice in a regular glass bowl, but the curry comes out in metal bowls and dishes. Very traditional and keeps things hot!Spice: only three levels of spice but they seem to be accurate with what you ask for. I thought they were a little cautious with the "hot" level but I eat spicy stuff. Medium was good enough to wake my mouth up and my nose run a tiny bit toward the end.The food: I ate a lot of stuff here. The lentil soup and samosas are fantastic but the real hero is the mint chutney. It was out of bounds delicious and thick! I had lamb curry, goat curry, and chicken korma. I tried other people's tikka masala, Rogan josh, chicken vindaloo, and butter chicken. There were more but these were the ones I remembered. You seriously can't go wrong. Everything I tasted I could have eaten as an entree. The owner was nice and told us that all their food is made fresh, told us what was in it, and where it originated from. I literally ate this three days in a row and some leftovers for breakfast on day four. If you love curry, go here. More...

As an Orlando local I try to stay off of International Drive.  After a few bad experiences at the Indian restaurant near my house I asked a friend for a recommendation.  Without hesitation he said New Punjab on International Drive. So we gave it a shot... and were not disappointed.  Everything we ate was AMAZING and full of flavor!! Shumaile took great care of us.  We will absolutely be back. More...

The food was excellent! It's close to most of the major hotels on I-Drive, so it was a nice break from some of the typical chain restaurants. The service was fast and friendly, making it a great stop in between vacation must-sees! Plus, the portions were just right, meaning you were super full without having to overindulge. More...

You know it's a good Indian Restaurant when you go in on late on a Thursday, Friday or Saturday night and they are packed with Indian Families and you are the only non-Indian in the place. I lived in London for 7 years where Indian food is to the UK as Chinese food is to the US.  That is how found the good places there. I finally found it here. This is a REAL Indian food cooked traditionally by an Indian owner.  While the service can get slow when they get busy, and the decor and location isn't five star (only bad comments I saw in other reviews), the food is the real thing.  The owner will not sacrifice quality even if it means slower service and in conversations can't even fathom using anything but fresh spices and because they are one owner, family owned place, they don't spend the money on the decor that in my opinion doesn't matter anyway. If you have been trying to find good Indian food in Orlando, this is the ONLY place I have been able to find, and it is amazing.  I go often, and now with them doing Uber eats, have their food even more.  Indian food is great to go or delivered.  If you are from out of town and are ordering from your hotel, make sure you ASK for plates and forks, they assume you are local and you have them already. I've been visiting this place since the 90's, where the taste is always the same! The owners are lovely and make you feel family every time! I went on Saturday with my husband I hadn't been there for a few years due to work and travel. As I walked in the owners remembered me and here's the kicker, they remembered I always order the beef curry with naan! So, true to their word I ordered the Beef curry with naan which was absolutely delicious! The fast is the same after all these years it was great to see that no matter what this restaurant has stayed true to their dishes and ingredients, while adding more varieties to the menu.  They now offer a Chaat menu! We ordered the pani puri and another form of pani puri with yogurt, it was delicious! The puris were fresh and the chick peas and potatoes mixed with the sauce, tamarind and yogurt was divine! All the flavors explode in your mouth causing a great sensation of flavors! My husband ordered the chicken tikka meal with extra onions and bell peppers, he not only ate the whole platter which was filled with moist fresh juicy chicken breast and sizzling onions and peppers, he even ordered one to go for the next day, along with 2 orders of pani puri to go!!! We will definitely make this a weekly event! Great food and great Owners who know how to treat everyone like family and have kept the same recipes! A definite must!!! More...

I have been to many Indian restaurants in North America, all, bar this one, have had a mild, medium or hot option against the dishes! Now, as a British person, a madras is fairly hot and a vindaloo is very hot! You can't have a mild version of them, if you do it's called a korma! This restaurant is by far and away the best I have ever visited in America and Canada. Food is excellent! More...

Stopped and order tandoori chicken and four keema naan. Keema naan were for the driving trip and I sat there and enjoyed tandoori chicken and Taj Mahal beer. Also got to meet wonderful couple who owns the place and had chance to chat with him. Loved the couple and hope they will visit DC someday. Turn out we have some common friends down in Virginia. I will come visit this place as long as I be around. I give them five out of five. Keep it up and we are big fan of you. More...

It has been some time since I have been here but little has changed. Still a beautifully decorated restaurant. I received the usual warm greetings when I arrive and am seated properly and offered a drink. They have the best mango lassie around so I ordered one perhaps two. I ordered butter chicken medium spicy with chili naan and rice. All came out together and in a reasonable amount of time. The butter chicken was excellent. Creamy, spicy, and the chicken was so tender. The rice was moist and tasty. The chili naan was soft but still crisp with just the right amount of kick. For dessert I had the rice pudding which was creamy and sweet. Just enough to balance the spicy dish and naan I just enjoyed. Another successful visit. I'll be back soon. More...

Love love love coming here to eat! A nice little hole in the wall, family owned and operated for years located on International Drive. This is a place you have to checkout when looking for Indian in Orlando. This establishment also caters private functions off-site and also sets up buffets for tour groups on-site. Sometimes when we're not in the mood to go out anywhere to eat we'll UberEATS this joint to satisfy our craving. You can order traditional butter naan or get garlic (along with some other choices) however we stick with the traditional butter. Their mango lassi is homemade and always a complimentary balance to the spices I suffer through (it burns so good). More...

Hidden gem in Orlando. I wasn't sure how (or if) to differentiate Punjabi cuisine from day-to-day Indian, so I thought I'd give it a shot. Lovely, friendly hostess and waiter. I ordered garlic naan, lamb saag and a mango lassi. While there was plenty of succulent, perfectly trimmed lamb, I was particularly pleased with the saag sauce, which had a smoothness to it that one rarely sees. I would actually say they gave me more lamb than I needed, so the portions are generous to me. I consider the bay leaf in the rice to be a nice touch. The lassi was thick and sweet and a perfect match to the 'hot' lamb dish, which in all honesty wasn't really very hot. My nose ran a little, so perhaps I protest too much. I also appreciate the full pitcher of water (this is Orlando, after all) delivered at the start without needing to ask. Perhaps I can fit in a lunch before I leave town :-) More...
