Singing Lessons

Natasha was highly professional but personable. I was able to learn more from her from any voice teacher I have every worked with. She has more knowledge on then voice and the science of how the voice works that helped me tremendously with improving my tone and my range! More...

Q&As

I love that I get to mix my passion for singing together with my nerdy science brain to help people discover the capabilities of their voices. My favorite moment is when students have an "ah ha moment!" You can see the expression change on their face because they have unlocked a new level of their voice. It's very exciting to witness and to be a part of!

I started my own studio to have the freedom to teach and rehabilitate voices using my own method that collaborates voice science, neuroscience, and trauma science. The methodologies I use are a collaboration of western and eastern vocal applications, which is outside of the realm that most music studios in America accept. I had performed for 20 years only to completely lose touch with my voice. It was a very hard idea to grasp since my identity was tied to my voice. Now I feel vocally free and I enjoy singing in multiple genres.

I don't take a cookie-cutter approach to voice lessons. A lot of voice teachers out there will teach what they are taught and will repeat the same exercises used by their teachers and their teachers. However, if we look at the trend in music over the years, the demand for the voice has changed (especially for musical theater performers who are expected to sing all over the map).

Services

Understand how Bel Canto technique + vocal toning allow the breath and resonance to connect for a well rounded tone.

You can belt! I use speech-to-singing techniques that allow you to understand how your speaking voice is an extension of your singing voice. Never strain again trying to belt high notes, and stop making your mix nasally. Let's make you a well rounded singer for all genres of MT.

Contemporary artists pull from a vast number of primal sounds we use daily to evoke emotion. What if you could understand these primary sounds within yourself and be able to make artistic decisions based on the emotion you are trying to portray as you tell a story?

Heart is racing...
It's hard to breath...
Hands get tingly...
Feels like you have a lump in your throat...
All of this is NORMAL! (WOOHOO) Your body is trying to save you from "danger." However, this can become an issue if it is a re-occurring response while we are trying to perform on stage and be in the present moment.

I am a certified trauma-informed voice professional who specialized in how trauma, anxiety, and depression affect the voice.
