With the cases of COVID-19 on the decrease and more than 4 million people vaccinated in our great state of Arizona it finally looks like we are over the hurdle and we are ready to start living again! Woo hoo!
It has been a rough year for so many people but especially for those in the pet sitting industry. I know personally it was hard to keep my doors open so I had to pivot. Nanny Nikki has expanded to be Nanny Nikkis pet sitting and fashion studio LOL. But, we made it through the worst our doors are still open!!!.
So Heeeeeello! My name is Nikki! I have been a local in the neighborhood for half a decade at least. But prior to living down here in the city I grew up in Cave Creek on my fathers Ranch. That is where my passion for animals was born. All my life and especially when I became an adult, I saw the over population that was hindering our state. Euthanasia rate was out of control, the lack of animal rights made my heart bleed, the neglect and abuse was overwhelmingly breathtaking.
And, with that a fire and passion inside me Ignited. I became essentially a local phoenix lobbyist for animal rights and rescue. I’ve organized protest, I started volunteering, and then I eventually opened my own 501(c)(3) License nonprofit rescue.
With the help of myself, my father and a lot of my friends, we managed to do 52 rescues with 47 successful adoptions . That may not seem a lot but for a one lady show to those 52 animals I changed the world for THEM. It was the most rewarding and heartbreaking experience I have ever endured. But it gave me the education, the knowledge, the know-how and the abilities to do what I do today.
It’s now 2021, I am 38 years old, my husband and I we have no children. But, What we have is the equivalent of the Brady Bunch... only with animals. When two pet lovers unite you know that it’s going to be quite the household. He had three dogs and two cats when I met him, myself after I stop taking in intakes four dogs and a kitty.
Together our Brady Bunch pack amounted to seven dogs and three cats. Let’s just say it’s grown a few since then in the last couple years we even rescued a piggy.
I love what I do!! I strive to make the client feel as if they’re not even away from home. I offer a unique view/take on pet sitting. Upon entry of a visit I always take a video so that the client can be assured their pet is OK upon arrival. I’ll take videos and pictures during our visit and play to let you know what we’re doing. At the end of the visit you’ll get a written synopsis of what we did and you’ll get another video showing that your pet is good upon departure.
I want you to have full and complete knowledge that your baby is in the best of hands, as you’re in good hands..... but I’m not Allstate! Haha
We’ve been open 3 years now, I am pet CPR certified, pet sitter insured, and to top it all off my partner in crime that I work with is a vet tech.Having a vet tech on staff has just made a world of difference. Between the two of us we have over 40 years domestic pet experience.
With all that being said, I’m going to put my website below and my link to my Facebook page disregard the prices on the website. Last year and for the rest of 2021 I am running 25% off of everything. Normally 30 minute Drop in visit or dog walk would be $15. Right now, it’s listed as $10, and will be 10 for the rest of 2021. That 25% extends right on down the list of Services on the website. There you will find more information about myself and my background, my list of services, and my pricing.
If you need any kind of in home medical service for your pet, Those will not be listed on my website. Those rates are up to Tonya‘s discretion.
