My truck died (burned out alternator). Had it towed to MVR as its close to my house and had good reviews.They were outstanding. Diagnosed the problem, communicated in writing and didn't try to charge me for a bunch of stuff I didn't need. I'm sure if I had shopped around I could have found the fix a few bucks (literally just a few) cheaper but  wouldn't have been worth the hassle (and tow fees lol)They fixed my truck within 24 hours (on a weekend). My disabled son needed his car fixed  since it didn't pass the smog test .  After paying $100. For the diagnostic test, Jabar at front desk, gave us a long list of things that were wrong with the car. He first quoted us with $997, but told me that it wouldn't pass smog test,  then added other things that it needed to equal to $1592, but still wouldn't pass smog test & I'd have to bring car back for extra service, and then in order for it to pass, but only for a year it would cost us a total of $2195, but would have to bring it back.??? He couldn't make up his mind, and when he sounded desperate, I told him that I didn't want to fix it there, and then he started lowering his price.  It's one place I will not trust bringing any of my cars. If you wanna get ripped off go to MVRHad another shop look at her and another shop for a new engine wants to charge me $3000. Still wow but not 7888 for a rebuilt one. MVR they are straught up thieves. What happen to goos auto shops. Wow. I looked up a new engine and a certified toyota tacoma 2.4 liter cost $1200 new.  Guess ill be playi g mechanic next weekend.Nice try with thw we do what we can BS.  You guys are jokes if you think you can charge someone 7888 for a rebuilt engine that cost at most 1700.  Good luck and hope you have your taxes up to date. I came to Mvr auto a few days ago and everything with my experience here was awesome... First of all my Subaru's engine was so close to death. . My oil pan was leaking my oil on the ground... I noticed that I had absolutely no oil in the car.. When I showed up the team there was amazing and they gave me a broken down plan to revive my car!! I have been taking my subby to other shops in Vegas and these guys actually know about all different types of vehicles.. I even service my pick up truck here...Great customer service. Great pricing and they were even willing to drop me off at home until it was done... I strongly recommend coming here!! More...

This wasn't at all a good experience. I wouldn't go back wit someone else's money. Initially I come in and the gentleman at counter acted as if they don't do the drive you home policy. He went to go and check and see knowing the policy was available to people who don't live far. i asked for oil change and was told they will check for anything else needed. Once they checked (2 hrs later) I was told I need a battery (200) a tune up (650) and fluid flush (300). I declined all. Called honda west, my car is 01 civic. They charge 230.00 for tune up. The owner of MVR emailed me and said if I was looking for a cheap fix then I shouldnt frequent his establishment. The funniest shit I heard in august, you are 3x more than dealership. If you have money to burn go to MVR they will help you get rid of it. If you don't want to be played financially, I don't recommend. Also the owner told me as a courtesy he did an analysis on my car and saved me 100.00. I didn't ask for an analysis. Not to mention he wasn't there I never even spoke to him. If I could get negative stars I would!!! This is the most clown circus garage I've ever seen!!! The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing! I had my work van towed into this garage on 8/7 they took all the way to end of day Monday to tell me I needed a new fuel pump ok fine so I got approved initially for SNAP finance for $2280 when I told that to the garage of course the repairs went up I asked for the fuel pump And the AC to be fixed they added some fluid flushes that is bogus I bet they didn't even do it in an effort to try to max out one snap finance approval. I was never asked if I wanted these "necessary"  flushes! What a joke so anyway Tuesday rolls around and they still didn't have the AC fixed talking about how they had to order parts well the cost was exactly what snap approved is for go figure lol. I come Tuesday and now the financing is not available so I need to pay cash for my van, $2200 included fees for labor on AC And they were demanding I pay for labor that wasn't even completed yet which is illegal I know my rights. There's no such thing as prepaid labor here in NV. So I take the van. Pay the $2200 and schedule for the AC for the following Tuesday.  I get a call Tuesday 930 AM saying that the parts for the AC were in but the ONLY tech that was able to fix called out. Wow!!! Truth is they probably had some other new customer to rip off who hasn't paid yet!! So we scheduled for Thursday to drop off the van and fix the AC! Thursday I pick up the van only to be told that the AC is working but not blowing cold air due to a bad compressor!! Ok so why didn't someone call me?? I give them the benefit of the doubt go out to the van and the AC isn't blowing at ALL!!! After I paid for a "blower" what a crock and the tech that came outside to see it said "well it was working earlier" then said "I wasn't here all day" And walked away!! When I called the guy who claims to be an employee but he's the owner I told him my concerns and that if they don't fix it I'm going to report it to the DMV that they didn't fix anything and his response was "if you're gonna do that then maybe we aren't gonna fix anything for you" wow way to go professional owner if a business!! Wow.....oh wait he's an employee hehe, the owners name is Joe. Still the AC isn't blowing just like before the repair and also the van still shuts off while driving I highly doubt they put a new one in but hey what do I know I'm just a dumb customer!! Oh And also they took the face plate off where the AC controls are and they didn't even put it back on it's hanging off I got pics and videos! Such a fantastic experience. I visited about a week ago for a failed SMOG test. As a single mom new to Nevada, I was nervous about finding a mechanic. Thankfully the customer service was terrific and exceeded my expectations.  Having said my car would be done for repairs in about two days, they completed in half a day so that I wouldn't be without a car with a toddler.  I am delighted to say I have found a place I can trust, works with me and is not pushy in up-selling. I rarely write reviews but I felt that this level of service is rare. I have a car with a bad transmission that is maybe worth $6-7k and I thought it was going to be done. Every other place I called just quoted me for a new transmission and never offered to see if it could be repaired. Jabar stated that he would need to charge me $600 but he would do whatever he could to try and salvage the one I had. He stated that if he couldn't fix it then the $600 would go toward the new transmission. However, a new transmission would run me around $5,000 and that really wasn't an option for me as the car is barely worth that. After he did some diagnostics and tried to fix it he informed me it he wasn't able to save it. He then told me that he wouldn't be charging me the $600 and that it would only be $250. I had agreed to pay the $600 and he could have easily charged me that but he was honest and said it didn't take the full 6 hours that he initially thought it would take. I found another place that had a rebuilt transmission and I could get it done for $3500 and go that route. However, Jabar was completely understanding and professional and did not try and bash the other company and say why I shouldn't go there like most places would do in this situation. He said earning my business in the future was more important. I will definitely be going back there for all future repairs. I highly recommend and will recommend for all of my friends and family! On our road trip to Colorado in an RV, we noticed a leak when we stopped for gas. Began calling around to any shop that would take us. Well, on Saturday's, most auto shops are either closed or have no technicians in to do the work. Finally, after 20-30 calls around, MVR picked up and said yes they would take a look at our RV. We pull in and Dio (the manager) was happy to try and help. The crew leaped into action and recognized the problem- a loose transmission pan. They had me go under the RV with them so I could learn what to do. They were amazingly fair in price and gave me no extra run around.
