My only previous experience with a piano is jamming on it while drunk; with Tammy I learned to play jingle bells after the second class. Tammy is a terrific teacher and can clearly adjust for different skill levels. She was also very patient, especially since I didn't get what to do even after the 4th time she explained something. Love Tammy. Â She is great with my 9 yo son, very patient and when it comes to learning a piece she adapt's the music to his level of learning as well as using forms of encouragement to push him out of his comfort zone when necessary. I have a 3 years old daughter and she has been taking lessons with Tammy for a few months. Tammy is really good at working with little kids. She can keep my daughter on focus for the whole half hour lessons (In general, the piano lessons are 15 minutes for a 3 years old).Tammy graduated from a top music school, Berklee College of Music, so I believe her teaching method must be something different with regular music teachers. Since I was a kid I always wanted to play piano. Tammy not only has patience to teach me but also she helped me to select the piano. Our weekly meetings are something I am looking forward to. It feels very relaxing yet already after few lessons I can see my progress. Tammy's studio is conveniently located near 72nd street station and she is very flexible with hours too to match my busy work schedule. Tammy's piano/music expertise is magical! As a pianist myself, I interviewed several piano teachers for my daughter and Tammy was by far the best according to me and my daughter. She uses techniques that inspire and challenge a student and keep the momentum alive. She makes sure the student is always alert and never bored. What do you love most about your job?
On teaching: I love helping my students achieve their goals. It's my belief that every human being deserves the opportunity to learn an instrument in a fun and enjoyable manner.
On performing: When someone hears a familiar song and their eyes light up, and they sing along and enjoy the music thoroughly - those are the moments I live for. I strive to capture the emotions of those around me, and channel it into relatable music through my own voice
What inspired you to start your own business?
The belief that every human being deserves the opportunity to enjoy music - be it through learning an instrument or simply listening and being in the moment of it.
My private teaching roster started to fill up quickly in 2015, and I started my own business to be able to expand upon that to impact more lives. Likewise, my performing career has grown along side my teaching career, and starting a business was simply the next step.

Looking for a party show for yourself... or your child? Look no further!
For adult parties/corporate events: Ms Tammy will play/sing a variety of music from various eras of music that will get your party guests pumping! Depending on the theme of your party or any particular song requests, she can play everything from 80s to the 2000s, classical, funk or jazz!
For children: Ms Tammy combines her her 5+ years of teaching and performing experience into an exciting 45min program for your kids' party (think singing, hand puppets, percussion, and more!)
