All I can say is WOW! What a wonderful experience I recently had at Mortensen's! Was in town to visit my family over the holidays and my Grandma had decided she wanted to have a family portrait taken while we would all be around. They we very accommodating to our large groups needs. With a couple of little kids not wanting to smile with short attention spans and a squirming baby I was really worried how things would go, but they were so good with us and made it the most easy going enjoyable experience. What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
The secret to great photography is to use all the tools at your disposal to create what the client is looking for. Lighting and angles add the proper flair.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
I would ask a client what they hope to achieve and set out a plan to do just that. We are always sensitive to the needs of our clients and do whatever we can to fulfill their vision of the perfect image.
What do you love most about your job?
I love all the different avenues we have gone down over the years. I enjoy the people we meet and the relationships we have built, many of which have lasted generations.
What inspired you to start your own business?
The freedom to be creative with my photography without limitations of others. I felt that I could branch out further and add more for my clients. I started dabbling in photography way back in high school and have had a passion for it every since that time.
