This is a great hotel in a great location if you are looking for activity. All of the staff are very friendly and attentive. The hotel is located very close to several restaurants and music venues.My only complaint is that the Pageant, a music venue, is right next door. This is great if you are attending the concert, not so good for finding self-parking or a quiet night. Our room looked out the front of the hotel, towards the music venue. It was a very loud concert and we could hear/feel the bass in our room. We have stayed at this hotel a couple times and this was the first time we ever had this problem so either it was just bad timing or this was an especially loud concert. More...

It's a cute hotel with so much to do in one little area. Our valet guy was the most helpful and friendly. Check in was "okay" the woman was very short with us and not very upbeat.

I was attending a meeting at WashU and I found this hotel as one of the recommended locations in the area. This was a very good choice with very friendly staff and housekeeping and quiet pleasant rooms. The room was definitely funky cool but in a good way and I was able to walk 2 blocks to United Provisions to pick up water and snacks. This is a very nice hotel on the Delmar loop. They have a great workout facility if that is something important to you. The rooftop bar offers great views of the city and the hotel is within walking distance of several good restaurants and music venues.

I stayed at Moonrise hotel for one night. My trip to St. Louis was for business and was very short. This hotel is not in the downtown and I'd say a bot expensive for that area but the location, its vicinity to the WashU, was ideal for me. It was clean and staff were friendly. It was the perfect location for our trip in to see a concert at The Pageant. The Moonrise is on the same block as The Pageant and has restaurants all around to dine at before the concert ( including The Eclipse in the hotel ). Through no fault of the hotel, our reservation had been cancelled by the booking agent. Hotel staff (Jake, Emily and one other women whose name I forget) were awesome! Loved the light up stairs and the giant moon above the roof top bar. Go up top when the weather is nice and have a awesome evening under the stars. ||||The hotel staff are very professional, warm, and nice. Makes a huge difference when you are staying in a strange place (not your home). ||||The big rooms are big, but the small rooms are really small. If you are used to Europe, the small rooms will feel familiar. ||||I would happily stay here again, but only if I can afford the larger rooms.||||The neighborhood is another matter however. It's fine during the day, and at night if you are only walking to adjacent properties or Ubers, but I am not comfortable walking the loop at night. Way too much crime in the area. If you must walk around, stay vigilant and stay in groups and nothing visible of value. More...

We really enjoyed our mini-honeymoon stay here. The employees at the counter were very friendly, and there was plenty of parking in the lot that we never had to pay for the valet. The decor in the lobby is beautiful, as was the decor in the room itself. The room was very clean and lovely. The bathroom looked newly remodeled with a modern sink and standing shower and fantastic shower head that was installed in the ceiling. (They had a shower cap since it was hard to use the shower without getting your hair wet.) The Aveda products in the bathroom were great quality, and I appreciated that they also had a makeup removing wipe available. The robe was warm and comfortable, and I am strongly debating going back to the lobby shop to purchase one for my home.The bed and pillows were amazingly comfortable, and I slept much better on them than on my own at home, which has never happened at a hotel before. The two layers of blinds/curtains also kept the light out when the sun rose, so that we could actually sleep in.The location is optimal for sight seeing and foodie explorations. More...
