They did an amazing job. They were on top of everything I asked!!! I highly, highly recommend having the two photographers, it works with pictures before the wedding and if you do not want to see your spouse. Prior to our wedding, we had never hired a professional photographer. We came across Mind of Mo at a Wedding Convention in Duluth, MN. Maurissa quickly responded to all our questions and concerns. She was very organized throughout the process. During the photo shoot, she made the session fun and enjoyable (even though walking around in a wedding dress can be quite awkward). Maurissa was phenomenal from the moment I met her. Her personality and genuine passion for photography showed the minute I first talked to her. She worked with me on the things I needed/wanted and also educated me on the things I didn’t know! Being the person I am with a super laid back personality it was so nice to be able to work with someone who understood my laid-backness but strived for my big day to be nothing short of perfect. She made my whole entire day comfortable and seriously there were NO hiccups. My wedding day was entirely everything I could ever ask for and Maurissa made me feel so comfortable and confident! They were great! Wonderful on communication with us through the whole day. I also did a payment plan and she literally let me do what I can every month till the day. We were alittle under a year when I talked with her. We did miss a few shots but over all it was great. They honestly let me do what ever I wanted but also made sure we got what I wanted in the end. They were very nice and wonderful! We have been using them after our wedding for our family shots to. I had Marisa and Shawn and they were great! We had a June wedding - it was 97 degrees outside.
Even so, Maurissa was amazing! She went along with all of my ideas for outdoor photos, including when it involved a lot of walking around in the heat. She even carried around water for me during all of this!
Maurissa really became more that just a photographer to us during the time leading up to our wedding. We met with her many times over coffee and ice cream to talk details of the photos we were looking for and take engagement photos. I’m so thankful we chose her as our photographer! I wouldn’t have had it any other way. She made everything a breeze. Maurissa is amazing! We booked her for our wedding and we are so happy that we did. Not only was she professional but she was there for us in more ways then just being our photographer. She offered to help with anything and definitely kept me level headed throughout the whole process. My husband is one of eleven kids and I'm one of nine, which means we have HUGE families. During family pictures Maurissa was assertive (which was needed with so many people) but in a kind way which helped getting through pictures quicker then I thought possible. She is down to earth and made me laugh many times. Trying to fit all the good things about Maurissa into one paragraph is going to be challenging. She was an absolute joy to work with for our wedding. Her work is amazing, she has an incredible eye with a strong sense of color and composition. She was absolutely professional while being extremely personable and engaging with everyone in attendance. She balanced the two perfectly. Apparently she has ninja training as well; she would sometimes appear to vanish but would actually be getting an incredible shot.

I have nothing but great things to say about Mind of Mo Photography! Maurisa did both our engagement and wedding photos. I found her on thumbtack and originally only wanted a couple of hours of wedding photography. After talking with her I liked her so much I added engagement photos and after doing engagement photos with her I was so happy that I decided to have her for the whole day. I'm so glad I did! We lucked out when my (now) wife found Maurissa on Facebook. Not only was she a pleasure to plan the wedding with, she also booked a hotel in our Duluth destination wedding for the whole weekend, just in case we needed some emergency pictures taken lol. She was so affordable, and clearly loves what she does. A couple times, I even felt the need to tell her to "be careful" because of her hanging on precarious rocks just to get the perfect camera angle. She was 100% open to all of our ideas, and she loved that we made a list of all the family group pictures to streamline that part along.
