Mind Body Music is a lovely music therapy studio in Austin providing a space for healing and therapy through music and sound. Therapy sessions are to reduce stress, anxiety, to boost immunity, to recover from mental and physical burn out, to support emotional wellness and to build self-resilience.
Depending on your goals, you can also learn ways to reduce stress at home using relaxation and sound meditation techniques. You can expect to experience live music interventions in sessions including instruments such as harp, singing bowls, gong and voice. The effects of these therapeutic instruments are to deeply relax the body and mind, to balance brain activity and to give yourself a quick reset.
The sessions and classes offered here are designed by board certified Music Therapist, Andrea Cortez, MM, MT-BC who was trained in neurologic music therapy. She bases her work in the science of sound to improve and enhance physical, mental and emotional functioning. Sound is a powerful tool to heal the brain, mind and physical body due to sound's unique qualities and it's ability to harmonize, rebalance and correct the internal rhythms of the body's biological systems.
