While visiting my brother and sister in laws we were lucky enough to discover this place and let me give you some friendly advice: Put Mike's Place on your iteniery if you are traveling in the Akron/Kent/Canton area! !! The decor is wacky and over the top fun and it fills practicality every nook and cranny of this maze of loosely themed dining rooms. Very casual and inviting, just walking in puts you in a festive mood. But the food, in every way, seals the deal. First, the breadth of items is enormous. Basically, if you can't find something that trips your trigger, your just not hungry. Second, the creative combinations of ingredients is genius. Third, the execution of the dishes is first rate. Not snobby hauté cuisine, but it is seriously prepared bar fare that is a class above most anything you have ever ordered in a chain style casual dining restaurant. Huge portions and a huge menu. The decor is unique too. Most people who visit from out of town want to go here because of the moderate fame associated with it.
