Micki was such a special addition to our wedding experience. Not only was she our photographer, but it felt like we had a good friend sharing our day with us. She took the time up front to sit and get to know my husband and I, find out what our preferences were, if there were any particular poses or types of pictures we wanted. She even accommodated the style of photography I was looking for, which I didn't expect to be possible. She caught so many special moments that I never expected to capture. Something that I really enjoyed was at the reception, it didn't feel like we had this giant entourage with flashes and tripods trying to catch every angle of our every move--but yet, she still was able to photograph intimate moments, smiles, tears, dancing and just the general feeling of the entire reception. What do you love most about your job?
THE WEDDINGS OF COURSE!! I am a romantic person and I absolutely love being at weddings. It sounds so cheesy but you really can feel it in the air. It's such a special day! The dads are happy, the moms are crying, the brides are smiling ear to ear (and if they're actually a nervous mess I'm there to crack a stupid joke to lighten the mood ;-)) and most importantly my favorite part is seeing the groom's face when his bride walks down the aisle. It's magical.
What inspired you to start your own business?
My sister-in-law was on a budget for her wedding so she didn't hire her photographer to take pictures of getting ready. She asked me if I would take pictures since I had a nice camera and was a photographer by hobby. They ended up liking my pictures better than the professional's and she suggested I go into business. I started up my website the very next day! I love taking pictures, and I love weddings, and it seemed like a perfect marriage ;-)
Why should our clients choose you?
I'm professional, I'm affordable, and (actually) importantly I'm light-hearted. You see, on your wedding day I will be with you basically all... day... long... I like to help make the process easy and fun by helping you with your jitters. It also helps for those dads, husbands, and groomsmen that don't like getting their picture taken. Having a bit of a silly photographer can get almost anyone to crack a few good smiles. :-D
