Michelle is awesome! She was recommended to me by the building management, is great at communicating, and is flexible with our schedule, which can get a little hectic sometimes. On her first meeting with my dog Luna, she took the time to sit down with us and discuss her background and answer questions I had. Michelle has been walking Luna for the past few months on an almost weekly basis and I trust that Luna is in good hands when she walks her :). Michelle is quite easily my life saver! Woof woof !! Michelle is an awesome dog walker! She was punctual on our first meeting and communicates as frequently as needed. She walked our dogs (two huskies) twice daily during our holiday trip for ten days. She sends pictures to us and kept us informed about our babies. Michelle is tremendous.  I had never had to have a pet sitter's services prior to this last Thanksgiving holiday when we were going to be out of State and other family were also tied up.  I had never had someone come over to my house to feed and walk my dog and take care of my cat also.  Giving your keys and an alarm code to a person you just learned about is stressful.  However, after doing a lot of research and reading all of her reviews, I called Michelle and she came over 2 days later to meet with me and go over the routine.  After meeting her, I could see why other reviews were so positive.  She took care of our pets that next week, texting me upon every visit and giving me updates each day on how things were going.  It went flawlessly and she met and exceeded my expectations that week.But, it was the second time we hired her that she really amazed me.  We were out of town for 5 days in December and she set things up just as we did at Thanksgiving.  Prior to leaving, my dog (an eleven year old golden retriever) was having some mobility issues.  I had taken him into Sage Vet Hospital the Saturday before we left and they said it may just be a inner ear infection or a vertigo condition that would pass, but we scheduled a MRI for when we were to get back just to be sure.  He was sent home with some meds.  The next day he seemed slightly better.  Needless to say, the very first day we were gone, he took a serious turn for the worst.  When our plane landed, Michelle had text me for her first visit and I knew it was not good.  My dog had lost motor functions almost completely...couldn't stand without falling, was in bad shape.  Michelle was very concerned and when I talked to her I could hear her genuine concern and empathy for my dogs condition.  We had just gotten off a 5 hour flight...so my options were limited.  Without any persuasion, Michelle volunteered to get him over to Sage emergency again.  She loaded him up in the car and drove him over there and then spent the next couple of hours with him at Sage before they admitted him to run an emergency MRI in the morning.  She stayed in regular contact with me the whole time, not once complaining about the obvious inconvenience this had created for her.  My dog stayed for 2 days for extensive scans and testing. Then when he was released, Michelle willingly offered to pick him back up and take him home.  All of this while she still regularly came to the house for our cat as originally scheduled anyway.  The level of care, concern and goodwill that Michelle displayed was amazing and made me feel totally comfortable that while I was on the business trip, our dog was being cared for as well as I would have done so if I'd been home to do it myself.  She was tremendous, checking in on how things were progressing with Sage hospital each day while he was in the hospital and then giving me a full update on his condition when she brought him home.  Unfortunately, our buddy was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor, but steroid meds, radiation treatments and $16,000 later, he is doing much much better...and we thank God for Michelle's help and for Trupanion pet Insurance!  While this review is obviously an extreme case of care that hopefully you will never have to experience for your pet, it should serve as an unquestionable, unbelievable and amazing example of the level of commitment, care and support you can expect from Michelle if you ever need a pet sitter.  She is totally reliable and I couldn't offer a stronger endorsement of any professional that this one today for Michelle.   If you look any further than her for your pet sitting/walking needs, you are missing out on working with such a great person.  And to top it all off, she is very affordable also.  I will continue to call on her anytime I have pet care needs and you should also.  Thank you Michelle!!! I just moved to San Jose and was looking for a pet sitter to look after my cat.  Michelle was recommended by our apartment building, and she was fantastic.  She responded pretty fast and gave me a photo update when I was gone.  I really appreciated that, and it reassured me that my cat hasn't burned my room down while I was away.  On top of that, I got a new basil plant which I asked Michelle to possibly water while I was gone.  When I returned, my basil looked so massive, and it started blooming flowers on top too.  I highly highly recommend Michelle! Michelle is a pleasure to work with and allows me to have peace of mind that my two pups are well taken care of while I'm at work. We recently relocated to the South Bay Area and needed to find someone quickly to walk our dog Phoebe during long days at our new jobs. Our dog is a very important part of our family and we wanted to make sure she was well taken care of and safe. We found Michelle through the Willow Glen Facebook page. She responded fast to our call and visited our home to meet us and Phoebe. We instantly felt comfortable with Michelle. She is very reliable and gives us updates about her visit with Phoebe. We know she is kind to Phoebe and is even helping with training her (since we haven't done the best job of that ourselves.) I cannot say enough good things about Michelle. Our very large dog, 93lbs, is nearly eight years old. She does not get around as well as she used to, and sending her to a traditional boarding facility would likely do more harm than good. For our last Thanksgiving trip we were looking for someone who could take care of her one-on-one. Michelle is reasonably priced. However, the real reason to go with Michelle is because she takes phenomenal care of your animals. She is polite, conscientious, and kind. She is a genuine animal lover. We have been using Michelle's services for years now. She worked in my kids' school, so when I tried her as a pet sitter I already trusted her. She is always reliable and prompt. It is great that I can leave all of my pets for her, I don't have to worry about them. She is the first and only pet sitter who didn't ruin the ecosystem in my two fish tanks by overfeeding, and all my fish were happy and healthy when I came back. She also took care of my cats, she followed my instructions accurately and gave me heads-up every day as soon as she left my home. Michelle obviously loves animals and she pays attention to special requests. I greatly appreciate that she respects our customs (we never wear shoes in the house) even if we are not present.
