When i was younger, I just about lived at Newark Camera Shop. As I learned more and more about cameras and film, Al became a mentor.
I remember that I had a sort of barter agreement with him. I would work in the shop doing various tasks for
bulk film or developing or loaner lenses; things like that,
Over 50 years later, when I am back in Newark, I try really hard to stop by and say, "Hello!"

Went in there with my Nikon D7000 DSLR when it dropped and broke the lens mount. The customer service was excellent, the representative called Nikon to see how much it would cost to fix. Since it was going to be close to the cost of a new camera recommended I not get it repaired. He graciously did not charge me for this assessment. More...

I took my laptop to this shop because my screen would not work. I needed it repaired in a very short time, and the shop did everything in the power to get it fixed in four days. My screen was not a easy fix, they spent hours upon hours getting it fixed. Not only did they fix my laptop, they also provided the best customer service I have ever dealt with. If you need any repairs to your laptop or phone, this is the only place you need to take it. The price was very good, but the customer service was even better. Wonderful place, and wonderful people!
