I would highly recommend Dr. East to everyone I know. In my previous experience in therapy it felt similar to talking to a wall. After four sessions I wasn't getting anywhere, it felt like a waste of time. With Dr. East she took the time to assess what I came to see her for and what I wanted to get from our sessions. She gives real life advice and "homework" which helps you progress in your sessions. Trust and believe she is someone who will hold you accountable for your own growth. Dr East is an amazing mental health professional. She's rare in that she actually l listens and custom tailors her treatment for the individual instead of using a one size fits all approach. I was referred to Dr. East February of 2016, when I was relocating to St. Petersburg and needed an experienced and knowledgeable therapist. This woman is phenomenal. She has the heart and the brain. Dr. East makes me so proud to the point that I have become her walking billboard. I always tell her I will be painting the town with her name. Everyone I have referred thus far have been very pleased and leAves her office every time with great results.I am very experienced with going to therapy, so I was cognizant of the fact that some therapist don't bill insurance so I will have to come out of pocket then send my invoices to my insurance to be reimbursed. Therapy is not a luxury, it's mental health and is just as important as the physical health. I also understand that some doctors don't take all insurances for whatever their reasons, and if that's the case you choose one that takes yours or pay out of pocket for the one you prefer. It's that simple.I chose to continue my healing journey in her care and have had significant progress. Trust, she has uncovered a lot of deeply rooted dysfunction and trauma. I was in a very dark pIace, but I have grown so much since I have been seeing Dr East. For someone with such knowledge, passion, qualification and so downtown earth, her fees are more than reasonable when compared to others with the same or less qualification and experience.I respect her time and business and will continue to highly recommend her to the world. Due to word of mouth I was able to get in touch with Dr. East. And I am very much glad I did. I have had a very roller coaster life. Coming from an abusive home, having a gay brother who is a veteran that has severe PTSD, and dealing with a very troubled relationship with the father of my kids...you can say there were many times I fell into deep depression. (And still do) Sad thing is...getting mental help is frowned upon in the Hispanic community. But I knew I had to get some help...especially to vent and get advise on how to deal and cope. When you go into a session with Dr. East, it's not like what you see in the movies. She is very interactive and very much listens intensively. Not only does Dr. East allows me to vent...she also gives me steps on how to get through my every day struggles. Some days are harder than others to get thru, but I know...no matter what...Dr. East's coping methods are slowly getting me thru this beautiful thing called life. I highly recommend her to anyone!!!
